J dilla, Jay Dee, James Yancey or whatever you wish to call him, was indeed an alien. he dropped by in his space shuttle to show us who the greatest really is. Dilla was incredible. He did it like no other. Rest in beats Legend.
When you think you have heard all Dilla's stuff and you find another pearl... RIP legend 🙏🏻❤️
Every single pitch change for each hit in the bass, the length of the hit as well as the timing choice of each hit in the bassline is perfect. I can’t seem to wrap my head around how that’s possible.

This sounds like a 1997 beat. The bass and the snare are a dead giveaway.

Dilla
The beat is life, but life ain’t long, So why we here? Let’s write this song. Brief but bring heat, this heart-to-heart's real, Forget fame, forget charts, it’s all about the skill. Smell like the shit, but it’s just fleeting fame, So many sell their souls, chasing fortune, it’s a shame. Truth is cold, like winter’s chill in the weather, Came messed up, but I swear, I’ll leave better. The game’s twisted, corrupted by the quest for power, Streets claim too many, crumble under pressure’s tower. Survival ain’t a medal, just staying alive ain’t special, Diabolical world, volatile, but I’m focused on my mile to go further. Stacks of clothes, flashing on these shallow hoes, Money piles high, but what’s real, nobody knows. Life’s a journey, navigating each twist and turn, Learning from the burns, while the world waits for us to learn. Hard lessons, blessings in the form of growth, In this deceitful world, I strive to keep both eyes open. From the struggle, rising above, pushing through the rough, In this life’s game, I play tough, chasing dreams that always seem just out of touch. But love remains, through the pain and the gain, I stand tall, never fall, resilience flowing through my veins."
Booming out Dem classics. Grooving to the jazz ish. Zooming on Dem classics. Fingers slipping through crates. Leaving more dents in the game then cranes. Spitting that raw shit. Is all I'm saying. Playing out 2 speakers. Nothing but bangers. Coming out your heaters. Flames drew from the artist _J. Dilla
