everyone talks about dillas drum sequencing but I think his basslines are equally as special. I've never heard better basslines in a hip hop song that dilla beats. since his drumming technique is well documented does anyone know how he made his basslines?
@ejayemike6541
Yea definitely his baselines actually was came through clear and pure sonically and he was always right on perfect flawless point rhythm wise with the flow of the rest of the beat.
i wish there was ice cream trucks that exist that served donuts instead of ice cream and bumped dilla joints instead of the music box sounding stuff

You could learn a thing or two Matter of fact, an infinite amount Understanding the difference Between being committed And on the fence is paramount Tantamount to win or lose I see in hues that don’t exist The odds don’t matter when you cannot miss To this planet, I’m a visitor Planned it then brought it to fruition On my own volition, wasn’t commissioned Might lack the connections but Don’t lack the persistence Go big or go home, can’t settle for subsistence level Don’t need assistance, all I need is my inner insistence To see it through Connecting say and do - doing what I said I’d do Set out to

It was said he was heavily influenced by pete rock, you can definitely here similarities.
