For me the scenes of the the crash were horrible to watch, but the scenes of the avalanche and how they were trapped in the plane for so many days were much harder to watch. At this point, I was thinking about stop watching the movie, as I really suffered with them and felt the horror in my whole body. Glad, I watch it until the end. What a masterpiece, I have never seen a better movie until now and I'm in my 50s.

Saw it yesterday in the cinema. All the hard work put off and it is so clear watching the film how much effort and passion and sincerity went into it. From reading all the accounts in the many books written about the incident, it is was also remarkable how many details Bayona and the team managed to fit in. So many of the cast are also acting in their first major roles but they are genuinely brilliant. And some of the images so closely resembled photos from the real event that I actually couldn't tell which was which. This is an absolutely outstanding achievement of film. Beautiful, breathtaking, heart-wrenching, uplifting and devastating.

After it was done I was not the same and all I thought to myself was how they literally went through hell and went through a lot of sht that most of us would have not survived.

No habrá otra igual.

Bayona directs painfully realistic depictions of survival stories…like “The Impossible”, this was all too difficult to watch. Had to pause for a few seconds now and then. I ugly-cried towards the end of the movie. So moving.

I can see in this movie a lot of Terrence Malick sensibility and style. Like the Wide angle lenses shoots and camera flooting shots with flares and nature as protoganist, kinda spiritualism.
