I know that a lot of grey market dealers go to watch trade shows just to pretend, but the reality is that given the state of the luxury watch market, trade shows don’t make much sense anymore!
Welcome to CRM Life Episode 115. During this episode, Charlie attends the infamous watch and jewelry show with Natalie and almost gets kicked out in the process. They actually confiscated one of our cameras momentarily and even wanted to take our mobile phone as well. I guess that the grey market stress has gotten to a lot of people! The good part of all this is that at least we got to record some pretty amazing watches!
There were not many deals to be had at the show, but at least we came in contact with a new dealer from Pakistan at the show, who later stopped by the store to close on a sale for a client.

It's so hot here in Montreal that it's refreshing to feel the Miami breeze chasing away some of the crushing humidity! CRM videos, as usual, are a breath of fresh air and this one is no exception. Every time I see Carlos behind the wheel of his vehicle, I think of the full size Red Plymouth Fury from the 1983 horror film ''Christine''! And like Stephen King's possessed evil car, I'm sure Carlos makes a spectacular impression as he rolls through neighborhood streets. ''Ho-Ho... Here comes that crazy watch guy who throws shoes at stupid people's heads. Watch out!...". Speaking of Carlos, footage of his discussions on the phone or in person with other jewelers is always greatly appreciated. The calm and experienced way in which he avoids traps or ends his exchanges is always as educational as it is entertaining. Although I have my own way of doing things, I like to imagine what Carlos would do in my place when I am faced with certain similar situations. I imagine that other viewers also recognize themselves in him, hence his great popularity. On the other hand, I admit that I would like to recognize myself in him... when he relaxes in his dream boat :):) But for now, I'm just going to live this sweet moment through him, by proxy. Just like the stimulating life of a jeweler in Miami that we live vicariously through CRM every Friday that God is kind enough to bring us. Thank you for showing us a bit of Sandra. It had been a long time since she graced us with her admirable personality. You often ask, Dan, what we would like to see in future videos. Well, as far as I'm concerned, I miss all those wonderful family moments we used to see (parties, dining in the store, Carlos kissing his son Charlie on the head, friendly battles between Carlos and Charlie, Dan (yes, you) playing baseball or football, funny and affectionate bickering between Sandra, Betty and Carlos, etc...). This is what, I believe, sets CRM apart from all the competition: the family spirit. That and, well... Eve, i mean Natalie... :):):) who, by the way, is just as pretty, if not even more so, when she wears glasses. This lady has literally transformed the word ''beautiful'' into a trademark. A registered trademark that she owns! Just like the day of Friday which is now a trademark of CRM! Thanks to our favorite Miamians, we are now hooked on the ''CRM Life'' mantra. After all, who wouldn't want the weeks to be just an endless Friday, an endless CRM day?

Some nice watches at the Miami IWJG shame no real deals. I do like seei9ng the shows though. What I really love is seeing Carlos in his wonderful car and all the heads turning as he drives past people, he just looks so cool driving her. What is best though is the Cuba visits, seeing it and visiting it when u film, it just sort of creates its own content. Could you think about doing just 1 episode of pure Cuba :). Mucho amor de London UK. xx

Carlos I feel your pain about needing to get boats bottom painted. In Charleston SC we had to get our 43ft Viking bottom painted every 2 years and the bottom has to be cleaned with a diver every month. But I would pay anything for my boat. It’s the only piece in life I get.

It's truly astonishing to see these AAA+ watches being peddled by street vendors lacking formal education. Personally, this undermines their credibility entirely. These individuals in the grey market are solely driven by profit, showing little regard for the watch's heritage. Who knows what the previous owner may have been afflicted with - perhaps even rabies or something more sinister. In the worst-case scenario, these watches could be stolen or assembled with Frankenstein parts.

It wasn’t a trick question you can’t just talk to people that way to entertain us on video. The guys asking you “it’s not worth it right?” Meaning he originally asked to see if you might’ve had it for cheaper, and YOU knew that, you just wanted to look cool on camera. Not cool dude, burned a possible good client for a couple of views. The guy was being a gentleman.
