For those not from Miami let me clue you in on what it’s like: Everyone is trying to start something to get rich. But unlike New York or California almost no one has any education. So that’s a problem. Lots of big dreams, not enough gravitas to actually get it done. There’s very little wealth being created here, almost all of it is imported in from somewhere else. We don’t have enough smart people to make helicopters, aircraft, cars, or anything else really that makes other places rich because our economy is fully dependent on the $15/hour jobs in hotel and hospitality. It’s very flat, very humid and there’s no normal rivers, lakes, hills and mountains that are normal for North America. No one smiles at each other, are generally distrustful in a way that evokes the hard lives of Columbia and Venezuela rather than the easy life of America and friendly people. But people here have no clue how weird all of this is. Oh, and men in Miami don’t have the North American standard of how to speak to women, they are constantly inappropriate without realizing it. So now you know all this, Welcome to Miami!

Carlos I have to ask, why not dabble in Omega, Tudor etc… why limit yourself and loose that segment of client? Not everyone has Rolex, AP & Patek money. How do you think Roman got to $100 million dollar business? He deals in many watch brands and doesn’t limit himself. It's totally correct. Things , digital or actual, are worth anything because people are prepared pay for them and that can change over night. Bit coin is only worth something because people want to collect and feel that there ahead of the game, and some are or at least the ones that start it off, watches yhe same, Richard Mille for instance in my eyes should cost about $100 same for most rolex's. And over night thats exactly what they could be worth. Bit coin could be worth nothing since it's not even a physical commodity. I was offered on a couple of my watches 30% more than I paid, only about a grand profit at my level, but within a month one of the, a tag heuer, bombed by 50% on that price. Speculators will always create a need and everyone else looses. Buy what you like then it's always worth it.

Great episode! Liked seeing the variety of people coming by, even if it looks few actually bought -- but as Carlos said, it's about networking and making some contacts, some of those people may end up visiting the store or hitting you up on Instagram.
