Wonderful performance of this beautiful concerto! Ivry Gitlis in his 70s and plays like a gypsy fiddler - very expressive! Thanks for posting! 🌺🍇🌸🦋🥰💕🍒🎻🎶☀️😝😀👍

Genio irrepetible!!!!!!
Wonderful performance; Gitlits was a wizard. Incredible musician. The conductor and orchestra also tremendous. Thank you for this video. I will treasure it.
RIP, I will always miss you.
Ivry has a very unique style of playing. You either love it or hate it
What a soul! What a spirit! What music! No robots here. :)
Happy Birthday Ivry Gitlis.
Splendid in every way!
I love you ivry
love you for ever master 🙏🏼❤

yvri for ever. לתמיד 🎆
😊
Does anybody know what he is saying during the interview, at both point of the video?

He tells young people “do not be afraid to go and give it everything you’ve got when you play, you don’t play with your fingers, you play with your entire being, everything you’ve got”.

Truly.
WHO IS THE CONDUCTOR? !!! How rude, disrespectful, and ignorant not to identify the superb conductor here! There would have been no performance of this without the conductor!!

Well ok. Calm down. It’s Gianluigi Gelmetti.

I agree with Stephen, maybe would you like to calm down next time? By the way, I happen to think that Ivey Gitlis is a far more important component than the conductor. Also, if you happened to watch the video, you would have seen the conductor’s name on the screen at the 10:32 mark.

@@Tennisisreallyfun I shouldn't have to wait until 10:32 for him to be identified. He should have been identified as follows" IVRY GITLIS INTERVIEW AND SIBELIUS CONCERTO WITH GIANLUIGI GELMETTI or at least have been identified when clicking on SHOW MORE. I am sick and tired of the collaborating musicians such as conductors and pianists not being identified by the rude, ignorant, and disrespectful uploaders on KZread and I will continue to shriek and make a noise about it whenever I find such atrocities. P.S. Mind your own business!
