J'adorais ce chanteur quand j'étais enfant. Mes parents m'avaient promis d'aller le voir à Paris avec le choeur de l'Armée Rouge si j'avais des bonnes notes pour le trimestre ! Et j'y ai eu droit ! J'ai vu ce magnifique chanteur qui m'impressionnait tellement avec sa jolie voix forte !

ja, auch ich kenne das Land, die Menschen mit ihrer unendlichen Herzlichkeit. Reist im Jahr 1972 20.000 km durch die damalige UDSSR. Sicher Ivan Rebroff ist eigentlich in Berlin geboren, jedoch seine Stimme mit 4 Oktaven ist einmalig.

The man had.a 4-1/2 octave range! I saw him in performance . He was brilliant! Who cares if he was German, Russian or lived on a Greek island. Voices like his are a gift, They are not given by Creator often. Simply appreciate them

hello from 2022, can you confirm he was actually sang? because some frames in the video make it look like he was just lip syncing pay close attention to his mouth and the song at 2:26 and the next 20 seconds. it just doesn't add up for me

KALINKA, quel superbe morceau ! A bientôt 55 ans, je l'écoutais en 33 tours à 15 ans, quand j'allais chez mon père le week-end. C'était les choeurs de l'Armée Rouge. J'ai encore la photo de la pochette en tête, ou on voyait un soldat danser, les autres derrière lui applaudissant. Merci au créateur dont je ne connais pas le nom, pour cette si belle chanson.
Magnifique chant Russe, interprété par Ivan Rebroff : Kalinka. Admiration et respect à ce peuple fier de ses traditions et cultures.

I was sitting, thinking about all the great voices I have heard in my lifetime, and Ivan Rebroff's name popped into my head. I remember he came to visit South Africa in the 70s and even learned some Afrikaans songs (phonetically) to sing at his shows. I believe he might have even brought out a record of it. I never even realized that he was German and not Russian. I only now found that out because adult me wondered how a Russian artist would or could have visited South Africa in the 70s.

He also chose to play the stereotypical "Russian" with the outfits he was wearing and the way he rolled the "R". Most of his story's about his parents background aren't confirmed. I don't think/believe hes Russian and just did it for the money. Oh here is a fun Fact: he lived in Greece for some time and was gay

The man had.a 4-1/2 octave range! I saw him in performance . He was brilliant! Who cares if he was German, Russian or lived on a Greek island. Voices like his are a gift, They are not given by Creator often. Simply appreciate them

hello from 2022, can you confirm he was actually sang? because some frames in the video make it look like he was just lip syncing pay close attention to his mouth and the song at 2:26 and the next 20 seconds. it just doesn't add up for me

Un chanteur magnifique et exceptionnel avec un nombre d'octave incroyable que j'ai découvert petite et que j'ai toujours beaucoup de plaisir à écouter même quand on aime aussi le rock et le métal.

KALINKA, quel superbe morceau ! A bientôt 55 ans, je l'écoutais en 33 tours à 15 ans, quand j'allais chez mon père le week-end. C'était les choeurs de l'Armée Rouge. J'ai encore la photo de la pochette en tête, ou on voyait un soldat danser, les autres derrière lui applaudissant. Merci au créateur dont je ne connais pas le nom, pour cette si belle chanson.

I was sitting, thinking about all the great voices I have heard in my lifetime, and Ivan Rebroff's name popped into my head. I remember he came to visit South Africa in the 70s and even learned some Afrikaans songs (phonetically) to sing at his shows. I believe he might have even brought out a record of it. I never even realized that he was German and not Russian. I only now found that out because adult me wondered how a Russian artist would or could have visited South Africa in the 70s.

He also chose to play the stereotypical "Russian" with the outfits he was wearing and the way he rolled the "R". Most of his story's about his parents background aren't confirmed. I don't think/believe hes Russian and just did it for the money. Oh here is a fun Fact: he lived in Greece for some time and was gay
