Just what I was thinking! I love that countries are claiming back their traditions and culture. As if only the food of each culture is all that’s worth keeping?? It’s things like this that joins these children to their ancestors who created these dances and fashions.

@Janice - that's why European Union and America are not good : they destroy these cultural traditions, they homogenize everybody in the same pot. It happens now in my country. You have no idea how big are the EU's efforts to destroy the national cultures in all European countries = globalization. Russia (this dance team) is under the West's attack to get its natural resources and bring it under control.

Keeping their culture alive these precious children.

As a dancer in a folk ensemble, I cannot stress enough how impressive it is to TEACH children to dance like that, and that they genuinely seem to enjoy it (or if they arent, their scene presence is UNBELIEVABLE). Just at a loss for words. SO beautiful

I am from Sydney and have been to Russia four times. Incredible place. People are wonderful. I follow a lot of vids in Russia and in one they were taking their small children to school and it was wholesome.

My favorites were the two little kids in the middle of the dance. Such talent. I get exhausted every time I see this. Such stamina.

I've always loved Russian dancing since childhood and admire the skill involved to achieve such excellence. Fantastic!

What a beautiful display of music and dance from young children and following their heritage and traditions. I’m 80 years old, a musician and a citizen of the United States. I enjoy your cultural life and watch various videos from your country. We also have children and young adults who take pride in their country of origin, including Russia and many other countries from around the world. It breaks my heart that this world cannot use the universal language of music to heal the differences adults have. Thank you from this American, it was an amazing dance.

I was absolutely blown away by this performance. Dress, technical accuracy, dancers' attitudes; all top-drawer. It's unbelievable that the littlest dancers did just as well as the older kids. Words fail me in trying to describe how good it all was. And they did it without contortions, slithering across the floor and other body-bending moves seen in 'modern' dancing. Just amazing. Kudos to those behind the scenes who got them ready for the dance, who designed the costumes and who insisted that only the best was acceptable during the dance. All that doesn't happen by accident, so my best regards to the professionals behind the scenes. I hate to repeat myself, but I will: I was absolutely blown away by what these dancers accomplished. So much talent, so beautifully executed!

I love this version of the Kalinka dance. There is another version almost identical to this one on KZread with different dancers. I've become a huge fan of Russian folk dancing in the past couple of years.

There is indeed a great sickness spreading through the West - it is virulent, evil, and so very destructive. I’m a citizen of the U.S. and it saddens and alarms me to see the spread in so many places. But what I wanted to say to you is: The majority of us, here in the U.S., as well as those countries where the sickness runs deep and those countries with little or no infection, are regular people. Our population isn’t our government, its policies or its actions. We vote and support what we believe is good in the government, and we abhor what is bad. But to a large degree - more now than ever before - governments have a life of their own, and run often in total opposition to the desires of huge percentages of its people. I just wanted you to know that I am probably more like you and any other individual from any country than you might think, and that we two are not unique in that. Because we are simply two regular people, human alike, and not our governments and their attitudes, actions, and stereotypes. Thank you for this lovely video post! These young dancers were magnificent! Their costumes were lovely, attractive and ornate, but without being garish. I took tap dancing lessons, and then ballay lessons for several years when I was very young, but I was never very good. That has never made me resent those who are good at it. Actually, I think that my understanding of how hard it is makes me appreciate them more. I moved on from dancing to my own personal sports of walking, hiking, and biking. Although they don't require any skill, they are good for one's health, and get you outside where you can enjoy nature. I really liked these sports and didn't even realize that they were exercise until about a year ago, because I had fun while doing them. Unfortunately, I am now in my mid sixties and my knees are in very bad shape, so I can't enjoy my sports anymore. Instead I get around with a rolling walker with a seat. It makes walking much easier and less painful. I wish my knees were as healthy as the knees of these young dancers. I really enjoyed watching them.👏👍💐🤗
