I never got these promos when I was younger. I always thought they were a waste of time and just wanted the match to start. I cannot stop watching them now.

I saw signed photos of Blassie and The Grand Wizard on the wall of an Italian restaurant on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.

Back in those days, the fellows that they signed, including the Sheikh and Blassie, all worked elsewhere and learned the trade before you saw them on WWF television. Nowadays, the WWE has to develop their own talent, and that's where they are lacking. Its a different task just to scout and find people who are already in the business, another to take someone off the street and teach them how to be originals.

Putski was terrible in the ring. He was known for not selling. He was also VERY limited and it took experienced heels to basically carry him in matches.
