The Olympic Auditorium was a great place for wrestling, boxing and punk rock shows. It was grungy, humid, infested with rats..... it was awesome!! Freddie was a legend (in that building).

Iron shiek for real was a UNIT , he put many ppl to shame, promo and in the ring and as a legit tough guy

Sheik was out of his mind. 😂 Classic.

I remember seeing a promo where Blassie said Mil Mascaras wore the mask because he had scars all over his face from crawling under barbed wire fences to get across the border. Crazy shit they used to say in wrestling promos.

They used to rub refried bean tacos in Mexican American wrestlers faces in sw championship wrestling. Growing up as a Chicano I thought that was disrespectful and a waste of delicious food.

Blassie going with an ayatollah gimmick is still one of the most bizarre character arcs I can remember.
