For the tiramisu sauce you don’t need cream or milk. You must mix egg yolks and sugar really well, till it’s very light coloured, add the mascarpone as is, whip the egg whites super well till it makes peaks - making sure there is no yolk at all in them an fold in this mixture carefully into the egg and mascarpone mix. That is the best sauce! I’m so glad you loved Italy 🇮🇹 I’ve just returned from there to the UK this week and yes, the shock !!!

@@BudgetFoodieUK my pleasure - I haven’t made one in ages - for a 250 g pot of mascarpone I normally use 2 eggs and four table spoons of white sugar - use a hand mixer for all the mixing - and also another tip is to use original‘savoiardi’ if you find them but mainly use a pasta bowl for the coffee to dip them in more easily so they don’t get too soggy! And of course cocoa powder on top. In the fridge for a bit and bob’s your uncle xx tuo zio è Roberto lol

I'm a new subscriber to your channel, so I am watching things out of order. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom; I lost my dad back in April. It can be really hard. I hope that your trip to Italy helped take your mind off of things. I've been trying to learn Italian and immerse myself in Italian recipes as well. I agree with other commenters that sunflower seeds or walnuts are a great alternative to pine nuts in pesto. Your food looks amazing! Thanks for the awesome content 👌

Hi Rechenda greetings from Rochester in Kent. Been a silent subscriber from the beginning and love your channel. Love your style and the way you put things together, very creative and am loving the food budgeting and recipes. Thought you did amazingly well with the capsule wardrobe on such a low budget. So sorry about your mum it's horrible when it happens, I lost my mum in 2020 so can understand. Keep up the good work and I'm sure the channel will continue to grow, it deserves too! Love Jack by the way. Xx

My partners great grandparents immigrated to the US from Italy, my great great grandfather immigrated from Italy, and he taught his grandson (my grandfather) how to cook who then taught me how to cook. It’s always Italian week in our house 😂 And on the sun, I got way too much and burnt. My partner is probably the most Italian looking person I’ve ever met and tans to the point he’s never had sunburn more than a day. I told him he’s a butthead and he just laughs at me 😭😂 So glad to hear you had a great time!

Double cream whips ..better than whipping cream ..but it will be the temperature of the cream ..cream is very susceptible to the weather ..you sometimes need to whip for half and an hour others it turns to butter after 1 minute
