Boyang’s lutz is *chef’s kiss* the only person who could compete with/top it is Yuzuru. To be fair, Kolyada also can do a beautiful lutz, but he isn’t as consistent as the others (probably due to a serious ankle injury he’s had for several years now).

It's now 2022 and even more skaters are using full blade takeoffs. I honestly think the tech panel should call the jumps what they are based on their entry and not what is listed in a skater's program. If they turn a lutz or flip into a loop takeoff, it should be called as a loop. And if that causes the skater to break the Zayak rule, they should receive zero points for the element.

Jin's still got some ways to go but if he keeps working at it, he might be able to dominate next time. I do think he deserves bronze here tho (with Fernandez in 2nd, Uno got 10+ points more than what he rightfully deserved with those pseudo quads of his) and silver over Uno back in Helsinki.

Not only they are diehard fans of a certain two-time Olympic champion and they recognize true talent/skill among certain skaters, they are very experienced with figure skating and know what they're doing and talking about. Mein gott, I was somewhat intimidated and terrified after watching them call out ISU on their bullshit and biased scoring system, I can't even refute their argument even if I try to play devil's advocate. Yes, Eteri coaching is how to cheat. Her students, most students seem to make great jumps but in the eyes of these experts, many are cheating by prerotation, as Eteri took advantage of the inability of judges to see the entry of toe or blade when he skaters took off.

This pre-rotated, blade assisted instead of pure toe assisted lutz jump technique is quite common in Russian skaters, the Russian lady skaters in your previous video who can execute an outside edge lutz, many of which however still are using this blade assisted thus loop like lutz as explained here by the Italians.

Damn you lady, you are really punching the ISU judges hard with your work! :) I must admit that I have to agree with everything said in this particular video, despite of my world shattered a little. I mean, I was rooting so hard for Dimitri Aliev watching his Olympic short program performance live on stream! His charisma and style quite reminds me the old era champions from Russia: Yagudin, Plushenko, Kulik, Fadeev, Urmanov, Abt. He was one of those few Russian sportsmen who were wrongly robbed the chance to compete under their national flag at the Olympics, and when I saw him executing his 4Lz+3T combo, it was quite a satisfaction for me: first, he has not managed to execute that combination properly during this season (either it was 3Lz+3T, or he exchanged the 4Lz for 4T, or he screwed it up completely) and second, it was like him saying "f**k you guys, no matter what flag I compete under, I am not giving up". Unfortunately, I haven't enough time to see the slow-motion replays after his performance and I only checked the current standing on the internet later that day. Still, I hope he will improve his technique and will try his best to reach the top in figure skating, without any unwanted help from corrupted ISU judges. BTW have you ever thought about sending some official report to ISU repesentatives or to some administrative authorities about what s**t is going on in figure skating right now? I think it is worth a try...especially when you would manage to reach and gain support from the weighted and influential figure skating personalities. And last but not least - I subscribe to your channel now :)

mish098aimer At the turn of the millennium, everyone has believed that FS as a sport is down and out, with ISU being a fossilized institution and 6.0 system being unfair and obsolete, but still kept alive. No one has ever thought there will be any signficant change in FS at all. But then, at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, many fault but striking decisions have been made during FS events. However, the biggest fuck-up were the results of free skate event of pair skating, which lead into a scandalous testimony of French ISU judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne that she had been pressured to vote for the Russian pair as the wnners, regardless of how the other pairs performed. That lead into total transormation of rules and judging system, being active to these days (with some modifications of course). Now we are in the similar situation - if there are going to be some changes, then some huge, scandalous, but namely striking false decision must happen during some ISU FS event. And the nearest best opportunity for that will be next week at the World FS Championships in Milano...

Worlds is in Italy...hope we get fair judging for every skater! Call out the wrong edges, wrong take off, pre rotation and dont score people so high in artistry when they dont show that much aristrty! Pointing out skaters mistakes and having it reflect on their score gives them reason to improve and become better! And they will be rewarded for improving by getting good GEO and higher scores than before! Evgenia and many other skaters get full GEO for jumps that arent even jumps in the rule! Evgenia being the worst offender. Do these..." fans" (I dont really call them fans) not want this to be a competitve fair sport again?? Obviously not because they claim a flutz, full blade, pre rotated wrong entry stiff landing skater got robbed?? Lol go watch ice shows or freakin disney on ice if you dont see this as a sport and rather a pantomine show. (Actually ive seen Disney on ice once and their are more textbook skaters there! • @mr.d4ve

angeliqueinhollywood she has had multiple hip injuries in the past and has therefore dropped the 3Lo off her programs. Because of the Zayak rule, the only way was a 6-triple program (two Lutzes, two Salchows, one Flip and one Toe Loop), choosing not to repeat the Flip cuz' it's her nemesis. BUT...Using the number of triple jumps is in this case irrelevant when Kostner and Asada, who respectively had a 7-triple and 8-TRIPLE programs, skated clean and still scored LESS than Adelina. So don't say Adelina deserved the win cuz' she had one more triple over Yuna, when Kostner and Asada, much further artistically, delivered the same number of triples for the first and even one more for the latter. It's not all about the number of triples, but the quality of them. Not even to mention her SP's inflation, Adelina's flutz, preroration and under-rotation, as well as stumble, level 2 step sequence, and poor PCS (compared to Yuna, Carolina and Mao) in the FS should have knocked her off first place, and perhaps even off the podium.

@@feederbureauofinvestigatio7648 You could definitely tell in the Novgorod Cup that her jumps had less strength than previously but they were far more technically sound. The edge on her lutz still isn't really deep but it was definitively outside. Her Axel isn't as high as it once was, but it is starting to look fully rotated. It was quite lovely to see actually, because I think she's a beautiful skater but it was hard for me to root for her to win knowing that she had really flawed technique on a few of the major contributors to her TES. I also like that Orser has pulled the Lutz out of her triple combos... gives her more time to focus on properly executing the jump without having to worry about another element immediately after. Her programs seem a little bare at the moment footwork wise, but if she's improving, I'm all for it. It is not like she's ever boring to watch anyhow.

@@aracelichely2954 Those 'records' are a joke these past years because the are due strictly to the rules changing constantly. The reason she racked up all the points had to do with ample use of the tano and rippon arms and also jumps in the second half. Those things gave her advantage over other skaters, and also the so called 'difficult' entries and transitions, which for some inexplicable reason appear to compensate point wise the failure to execute properly the jumps themselves. So it's these weird scoring idiosyncrasies that make these 'records' meaningless. The next 'records' are being set of course by the quad jumpers, and again nothing to do with the jumps themselves or the quality of the skaters' technique, but only their small size and age and number of rotations. Sorry, but the whole rules and scoring system of this sport is screwed up. They will now every year be changing something to try to stop this runaway train of racking up points with poor technique.

She doesn’t deserve her Olympic silver medal and her previous world’s title. Judges think she is good because they think she is consistent by not falling. But come on, if all the skaters does prerotated jumps they won’t fall so easily either. It just sucks to see other skaters worked so hard not getting the results they wanted while evgenia can cheat her way through while crying for her gold medal -.- as for this Russian male skater, never really heard about him until this Olympics and was surprised his scores were so high. She is a good person blah blah" ALL figure skaters work hard and from what ive seen they are ALL good people who im suprised havent snaped from this unfair judging. Evgenia claims she will fix her jumps at the end of every season but she NEVER HAS and they are getting worst due to her growing.
