Learn the Italian Alphabet with this quick Italian lesson. Speaking Italian is no easy task, so start slow with this Italian Alphabet for Beginners video. The Italian ABCs are essential when you will need to spell things, like your name, using Italian letters. In this video, you'll learn the 21 Italian letters. While the English alphabet has 26 letters, the Italian alphabet only has 21 letters. The 5 letters missing in Italian are J, K, W, X, and Y, which only appear in loanwords. Those are shown in red in this video.

    Really liking the logic of the Italian alphabet, e.g. "i lunga" for the letter J. Y and K are also easy to remember if you know the Greek alphabet 🇬🇷 and there are a few letters that sound like their Spanish counterparts 🇪🇸 molto bene!
