When I was a kid I watched Eurovision with my parents. I remember the the skirts being pulled off by Buck’s Fizz and how we thought that was a bit risky at the time. how has our society fallen so far that this obscene performance is considered acceptable to young viewers or indeed to anyone. this show has absolutely nothing to do with songs!!

We all saw the witch with her satanic ceremony, but I think Switzerland s entry, was a much bigger annihilation. It was a mockery of Christ, since the whole setting refers to calvary, crucifixion, and at one point he says I went down to hell and came back. In any case, we only have to watch the video again and think about what we see. Nemo wears something that looks like an upside down cross, he struggles uphill, when he goes up he raises his arms in the shape of a cross, he says he went to hell and came back..., lay down as if asleep..., he lies down again with his arms crossed, upside down this time..., this takes place on a luminous cross, with the crowd cheering, then he stands in front of what appears to be an eye... or a dark sun, and the most incredible for the end: he makes a flamboyant move and cuts the upside down cross he wears with his hand... also on his head he wears a black crown of thorns. We have seen the Irish satanist, she declares her identity and we know that we must beware. But did we see where the wicked one was hiding? We must be very careful what we allow our children to see and what we applaud and condone.

do not forget other 2 simiular performances , for example Slovenia's almost naked woman with her 6 sex slaves on the floor, it was a very similar performance if not even worse ...So I hope you are not condemning UK performance only because it was a gay guy in the orgy , rather than straight orgy like Slovenia ... but you are right as a gay person I found it offensive... Here's an idea...if the UK wants to win next year get a stonking big ballad, somebody that can actually SING...no gimmicks...no strobe lighting. Stand there and just put over the track that way...with of course a full set of clothes on. MIGHT JUST WORK.

Yes. She came 1st place in the semi-final, and if you take away the 'jury rigging', technically came 2nd overall, with Croatia winning it (Switzerland came nowhere and UK rock bottom on 0 points, where it belongs). The jury vote doesn't count in my books.

I AM gay, sir, and I hate the way extremist minority has hijacked both the community in general and things like Eurovision and even Doctor Who. What’s being pushed is pretty gross (arguably degenerate) - sex acts or references in “family shows” etc is disgusting. Freaks like Olly Alexander (and the guy IS weird) thankfully don’t represent the majority of LG&B people (and even some genuine Trans people) but I’m sure there are a lot of straight families who look at the disgraceful displays and grubby performers that were on Eurovision who think that was LGBT representation in a nutshell. It’s a worry tbh.

Yes I am gay and I found the performance offensive and I am happy to speak against all this bullshit, the issue is not that performance was gay, the issue is that it was dirty and sleazy, the performance seem to depict men cruising in a sleazy gay shower room! I am getting bored of gay people being depicted as owning the sex, and it is all we are , and have to show to other people's faces...flash news!!! everyone has sex, our straight parents did it first ... otherwise, we would not have been born to start with! Being gay is not all I am ... So can we keep it private and leave it at home, please! On the other hand, lets not forget Slovenia's naked woman with her 6 sex slaves, this was a straight version and it was equally filthy and offensive ... no wonder she ended up almost last ...
i thought it was a talent show not a freak show.
It is obvious that the Jury is bent and political as: Olly (I can't sing) Alexander received "ZERO" points from the public, and 46 from the jury. So either the Jury have absolutley no taste in music or they are bent.

The fact that Israel only got 52 points from the jury but 323 points from the public, including 12 points from 14 countries, many of whom have very vociferous minorities who campaigned to have Israel banned from the contest altogether, and that the public vote would have had Israel in 2nd place, with the boy in a dress from Switzerland in 5th place, shows how corrupt the jury voting is, and how completely out of touch with the public taste.
This is what the internet did to the children.

It used to be a respectful, proper song contest. Lovely ballads, normal clothes. Whoever won did so because they could actually sing and if they danced, it was normally. I think it would take one country to be brave, take a stand and go back to performances that the contest used to be about.

I am gay and even I am offended by a performance that depicts an orgy and men crusing in a gay shower room wtf!!! whats next ? sending a straight man depicting him looking for a prostitute or dogging in a park ... the issue is not that he is gay ... the problem is he is being offensive dirty and sleazy! Rather than pornographic with lyrics " make me dizzy with your kisses", it could have been easily a romantic tone instead!

I was disgusted at ollies actual hypocrisy. Claims one minute that the union flag is 'devisive', but as soon as the lights are on him, he just has to wear union trousers and a flag that was the size of one of the sails off the cutty sark? Hope that next year we choose more wisely....
