Canadian here... took me a bit to figure out what a hose pipe was...lol. I stand with J.K... i think she's a legend and there are many world leaders who could take a lesson on taking a stand for what's right, regardless of the politics.

JK Rowling is a Queen, as a Scottish woman I really don’t have the words to express how grateful I am for what she did for us on the 1st of April. She’s a brave lady with the courage of her convictions. I also agree with Sarah about Israel, I’ve supported them since October 2023 because what Hamas did was utterly evil, and they have every right to go after Hamas and eradicate it but they don’t have the right to indiscriminately target innocent people, two wrongs don’t make a right.

If, If, If. Let the Investigation finish before condemning. Israel was condemned for bombing a hospital and then found out it was a Hamas bomb but everyone jumped so fast with blaming Israel. You,d think you would learn from your own mistakes and wait for the Truth before blaming either side.

Can I remind you both that the deaths of the aid workers is still being investigated? And not only that, you say Israel is losing support- what would you have them do? Walk away when Hamas is still present just because there have been deaths? This is what happens in wars- people die. There is nothing pleasant about it. But Israel didn't start this, and they have tried as much as possible to avoid killing civilians, which is more than Hamas has ever done. A lot of people seem to have also forgotten that Hamas have still not handed over any more hostages.

Horrific incidents happen in wars all the time and the UK and USA are no different. Israel from the President to the PM, Defense Chief and IDF chief have apologised profusely and an investigation is underway. War is brutal and horrendous and while it is no excuse, it is also not an unusual occurrence. I would also caution against taking UN figures on aid workers because UN staff have been complicit with Hamas - UNRWA being one of them. I don't recall Biden apologising or Cameron. I think we have to caution against judging Israel by a different standard than other countries.

The situation is worrisome indeed. If King Charles doesn't like confrontation as has been said, even for the sake of the Crown, William must.
