Ingredients:
3 cups each Rice, Corn and Wheat Chex Cereal
1 1/2 cups Cheese-its
1 1/2 cups Pretzels
1 cup Mixed Nuts
1/2 cup Peanuts
3/4 cups Butter (melted)
4 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
3 tsp Seasoning Salt
1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1 tsp Chipotle Chili Powder
Gluten Free Option:
-Substitute the Cheese-it's with gluten free crackers.
-Make with gluten free pretzels
-Leave out the wheat chex and use more rice/corn to make up the difference
Directions:
1. pre-heat an over to 250 degrees
2. In a large bowl combine the chex, cheese its, pretzels and nuts and stir to combine.
3. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with the worcestershire sauce and remaining seasonings and stir thoroughly to combine.
4. Pour half of the butter mixture over the chex mix and stir to combine.
5. Pour the remaining butter mixture over the chex mix and stir again to combine.
6. Divide the mixture between 2 casserole dishes or baking sheets
7. Bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes
8. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container; zip-lock bags work best for me.

My mom always made this when I was a kid growing up during the holidays, so this is a staple for me this time of year.

Hey Mark! I love your Chex Mix... I also make this at the Holidays for my Fishing Pals who don't like sweets. It's so versatile and makes a great gift! I love your Gluten-free options!😊

Thank you. I had always followed my mom’s technique which is to double all the seasonings, butter included. The last few years I began experimenting and do like the spice in it. I wish I didn’t like sweets… 😄 I think I gain 5-10 lbs every holiday season.
What a good brother...Chipotle chili powder & paprika.....interesting. Merry Christmas.

It adds just that extra little something... to go even further though, try adding some grated parmesan and mixing that in while it's still hot 😀

Awe.. thank you…. Checked you channel. You have some very good looking recipes. New subscriber here. 😄
Instead of the oven use microwave. 6-7 minutes. Stir it every 2 minutes. Much much easier and faster. The whole batch too. How I do it. I make over 30 batches every Christmas. Now I use Cajun seasoning instead of Lawry seasoning salt . And add some to hot sauce too. Everyone loves it!

I have heard of it being done in the microwave but have never tried. I will give that a shot next time... New Years is coming up quick and chex mix is always in the house on New Years. 😀. Another item I have tried and really like is to add some grated parmesan shortly before it comes out of the oven, whether traditional or of the microwave variety. Give it just enough time to melt into it.
