It's wild how almost every theme is either straight ass or it gets kinda interesting in the first 30 seconds, and then nothing else happens. We got a couple bangers on release, and that was it.

Fete foraine, Genbu temple, Juri theme and JP theme are the only four that are good. A massive let down by Akuma's theme, I prefer the dubstep theme he had in SF5 or Temple of ascension theme

Jiyuna showed perfectly the problem with the music, it's not that it is bad, the issue it's that songs never start, they feel like they are building up to something, but that something never comes.

Jamie's theme is one of the few exceptions to this and it's awesome! When round 3 starts, the song pops off like the climax themes in Tekken 7 & 8. If the rest if SF6's soundtrack went hard like Jamie's, it would be so much better.

I keep trying to hear it in my head, but I just hear Ken's new theme and only the part that sounds like the old song

If you set the music to random, instead of it picking a random track every game, it randomly chooses from your theme, your opponent's theme, or the stage's theme. And whoever wins, it plays their theme for the runback instead of randomly picking another theme even from the 3. So if you don't want to get sick of the same tracks over and over, congrats, cause you're gonna hear your main's theme about 33% of the time

Jamie's is ok but once you notice it's cut rate Jet Set Radio it's hard to unhear

In a fighting game, you should have Hard hitting tune for every character. It doesn't matter what your actual taste for music is: it has to sound like a damn action movie. Guilty Gear has a great OST, that pumps you up, Capcom music feels like it was written by a buddist monk that just finished a joint. Even reworking into Heavy Metal every original SF2 song, would be perfect.

@@SujakuuClips For the character themes they are going for a more upbeat "hip hoppy" vibe, but they aren't really going all in on the hip hop (like with third strike) and are trying to stay in tone to the charcter and their roots.

Something about the ost sounds very optimized, like they did a lot of consumer research or something for what music modern gamers like. It feels like the identity is gone now. Something that I think Strive and T8 maintained

I get to 5 winstreak - I stop playing ranked in sf6. Because losing that chill track would be a disaster.

SF has some of the most iconic music in all of gaming, people who don't play FGs even know about Guile's theme, but I don't even remember a single SF6 theme, I can't even try to hum one.

Honorable mention for jukebox, KOF15, for a lower budget game, even has a jukebox. I mean the fact they even have Metal Slug music in KOF15. It's sad. SF has an amazing history of music. From SF, the VS series, Final Fight and so much other amazing capcom game music. Like every Major fighting game right now has a jukebox mode. Hell wanna even go the toilet bowl, even Freaking Fighting EX Layer you can use "classic" or "default" music which you can listen the Classic SF EX music while you fight. Yea there is NO excuse for SF6 not having a jukebox mode.

They've done remixes of the original themes like a billion times now. How many more times do you want to hear Guile's theme remixed with some bullcrap? Sometimes you just gotta do something different. It may not be very good, but at least they tried and it was new.

I like most of SF6s ost, but I do agree that a jukebox mode should be added. I've been buying the passes just for the songs I like in hopes that we'll get a jukebox feature in the future.

Ridiculous that we can't play the music we unlock on battle pass in our own matches.

I didn't like SFV that much, but the character's theme were awesome: Karin's theme sounded like "rich", Necalli's like a menace... And Ryu's classic theme man, it's been like 30 years and it's still one of the most recognisable themes ever and they left it out.

I get where people are coming from with the sf6 themes, though I personally enjoy most of them, especially ken's theme

I do enjoy juri's theme, but ... thats it. Really sad

I'm pretty much at a point were i need a incentive other then just ranking up, for a fighting game to keep me playing ranked after some time. SF6 Battle passes are pretty much nothing... except for those music tracks i thought. But when i realized couldn't use them for ranked play, i saw no reason to buy the battle pass and stopped playing the game altogether not long after.

I've had the Metro City theme permanently since the beta. They added "Bottom's Up" to the battle pass which is my favorite SF theme and I can't even play it in matches!

I imagine the justification is that they're fully committed to the dynamic music based on match context thing. Obviously this isn't a good enough reason for you or me, but Nakayama's vision I guess

SF6 was the first time in a fighting game I had to turn off the in game music and play my own instead. Made the experience so much more enjoyable. Tekken's jukebox spoiled me

MM2/3 goated soundtracks

I honestly like these theme songs for these characters honestly. Ed's theme is REALLY good and Ryu's them I like alot. Blanka got a better theme than he used to and Guile well, his theme got worst. So there's some wins and loses with these themes but I've grown to like these themes more than the old ones besides Guile and Zangief.

Probably why I only like Jamie's and Ryu's themes- they do feel like they have that build up and pay off.
