Of the three title contenders this season, Liverpool spent the most days at the top of the table, and had a 5 point gap before playing Arsenal at The Emirates. I guess most of the Liverpool fans who called Arsenal bottlers last season weren’t around during Slippy G and/or Crystanbul but at least got a taste of their own medicine. 🍼

Your argument makes no sense, nobody has said the players you listed are the greatest in history (where's your source for this) all these players have performed at a high level for several years winning the Premier league and champions league and being pipped by City by a point in a couple of seasons also. So if that's not the definition of competitive what is? You are forgetting Liverpool lost their why whole midfield, Mane and Firmino who were all vital players to team. They finished 5th last year so to be in contention for the league after that position and a clearance was a Suprise. The only player that probably fits your bitterness is Salah, player has been stopable for years and had appeared to lose his shooting boots since coming back from Afcon. All the players they've brought on the past 18 months have had moments but consistency in these players has clearly been missing, even the games they've won this season haven't blown teams away like previous seasons, I think alot of Liverpool fans were hoping this was grinding wins out and the performances would click in but that rarely happened. A bit of objective analysis would be good from you without the biased bitterness for a more balanced analysis 👍

Alisson is best in the modern era, probably not all time. Trent , I somewhat agree, not fully because his defending isn't great and that's a key part of a RBs game, VVD was and is still pretty good now, think prime Saliba might be better than prime VVD, Robertson there is no chance, Salah was but he's finished 😢

Why do we operate under the assumption that man city and arsenal will win all games for the rest of the season? They fail to win a game roughly every 3.3-3.4 games if the season is anything to go by. There more than that left, so odds on they’ll both drop points (same will Liverpool btw who are worse).

The chance for city to drop some points is very slim. Two years ago when they played against aston villa they were 0-2 down with 15 mins left but they scored 3 goals in 5 mins to win the title.
