Liverpool went from 2nd with 92pts to 5th because their back line was decimated, and it was accepted, United have been hit with more injuries and were nowhere near as capable as that Liverpool team and everyone just brushes the injuries aside, it's had a huge impact, I hope he gets another season with a fully fit squad.

Think the bigger issue is that when Liverpool lost their players, their style of play remained, same patterns, same ideology. With United, the style of play, which I personally think was best seen vs Barcelona (H) and Newcastle (Cup Final), has disappeared straight away and also there is a gap in midfield which he just hasn’t fixed all year

We over achieved last season when Rashford scored 30, we had peak Casemiro, we had Varane and Martinez dominating at CB, and we had Shaw at LB. This season we had none of that, so i think our position in the league is a fair representation of the depth of the squad. He deserves a 3rd season, with support in the summer, and backing from the new leadership structure. I think he’s the right man. It’s too easy to ignore the challenges we’ve had this year, especially when compared to what we had last season which was considered an overachievement

Sale saga ongoing for more than a year, injury crisis freak show, personal battles with some, Massive decisions on captaincy, GK contract. He absolutely deserves more time. People are finally mentioning the 30+ different backline pairings, but what they don't mention is Hojlund barely gets any service and is still a young and developing striker. The wingers need to find him more. United have also done hard by refereeing decisions. People are up in arms when a decision goes in our favour, but stay silent or even cheer it on when it happens to us. For every decision that goes for us we get 5 against us. There's been numerous unexaplainable calls against us and the referees and pgmol say absolutely nothing about it.

Jurgen klopp won 1 prem 1 Champions League with a 10-year career at Liverpool and is hailed as one of the best managers in the prem. He's had no where near the dominance that pep has had. But what he's done is been accepted by the fans and been allowed to have years without success. United fans need to understand that there is no quick fix to this problem. United need to start giving mangers time and go through highs and lows in order to give a manager their own legacy. To get to two Cup finals with this club and it's constant cries for silverware, where it has been nowhere near obtaining for these last years. It's a joke to get this man sacked, there are no Alex fergusons left in the game that are avaliable. Alex ferguson could only get to fa cup/carabao finals with this squad. Respect what you got, keep with the process and make a story with him. He's brought through, Mainoo (automatically in England) Garnacho, Hoijland, Martinez, he's identified players with the right attitude who want to play, amongst a 23 man squad who have played trophy less season and down tools for evey manager that has come in. You need to flush and build something and you have the best you can have. Everyone of your players is up for sale it's time move forward with ETH and accept and understand you're going to have to go through the lows. The "WE'RE MANCHESTER UNITED!!!!" Excuse Needs to stop. This season has been a complete freak with injuries. The amount of different defensive combinations that we've played in different games is insane it's hard to maintain that consistency & build patterns. Also the likes of Rashford & Casemiro who were so important last season have regressed massively which no one expected. We've barely had any fit LB's all season. Our best two CB's have been missing most of the season. We've relied on a young inexperienced striker to score goals despite barely getting any service in any games also certain players have downed tools as per usual not for the first time either. Well, it's good Neville finally realized that the amount of injuires United had this season have in fact affected United a lot this season (I don't recall a worse injury-hit United season ever). Recently Neville said the injuries weren't an excuse which was baffling. Still he says United fans (does he mean local fans only?) have always defended the manager which isn't true. The fact that a big majority of the worldwide United fans still back Ten Hag is never a given thing especially after the big media agenda against him (including Neville) which hasn't been fair at all (the traditional media are still backing Poch and Howe who have done worse). Most United fans can think for themselves and won't accept the agenda because we saw last season what Ten Hag can do and under the circumstances he hasn't really done that badly after Christmas. I'm happy maybe Neville also finally realized the same. Like Arteta (finishing 8th and 8th in first 2 seasons) Ten Hag has to be given at least another season to prove what he can do - no two ways about it!

@@naf2038 So are you saying I'm not a "core fan" because I'm not a match going fan but watch matches on the TV instead because I don't live in England and isn't a billionaire who can do what he wants. That's bs! I've been a fan for 50 years, watched football the same amount of years - live and on TV, played tournament football myself for 25 years and know everything you need to know about Manchester United and a lot more. I think about United every day of my life. If I'm not a "core fan" and for example one who only watched every match live for 3 years or whatever is a "core fan" then your definition of a fan definitely needs a deeper thought process (and Neveille's too). But you're right about those self-centered idiots who feel it's a personal offence to them if United aren't doing great and "vomits" from their foul mouth all over Twitter about the players and the manager. Some of them even want United to lose and hope they get what they want if they do. I don't count them as fans at all because that's not support. Anyway, some of the ones you call "core fans" might back every player and manager blindly even if they're not doing great for long periods - that's what Neville is alluding to. But my point was not all "real fans" (not necessarily match going fans) feel that way and only backs a manager and the players as long that there's still a chance they can still benefit the team in the long run. Because every fan want United to be successful and watch them play great football - not everyone thinks blind loyalty will necesarily bring success. For instance I thought it was right to sack both Ole (even though I still love him as a person and as the player he was) and Mourinho because it was evident that's what the team needed at the time. Ole wasn't rebuilding with the right players (maybe not his fault though) and the football wasn't great - not much better than the boring counter-attacking football Mourinho played which is just a no go at United in the long run in my opinion. He also had favorites playing every time no matter if they performed or not for longer periods - a mistake Ten Hag also made sometimes this season but he was more or less excused because of the many injuries. But sticking with Rashford and never benching him has been a mistake in my opinion. However, I saw evidence in the first season that Ten Hag can make a bad team much better and promote youth so even though he's let himself down on some occasions this season I still believe there's a chance he can turn it around. But obviously he might only have one more season to prove it again because already having the media sacking him most "real fans" like me and not least INEOS might lose their patience if the injuries and the way the club has been run can't be an excuse anymore next season. I really hope Ten Hag survives at least for next season and also that we see the rise of Rashford again. I also really hope Ten Hag, the players and INEOS in unison can make United great again because the last decade has been very hard to us fans in many ways and I think we deserve better. We didn't get rid of the Glazers but at least it seems like the football decisions are taking by INEOS now and even though we have no real proof yet it seems like they have listened to the fans and are real football fans themselves which the Glazers never was. Long live United!

The only part of the interview I thought EtH made excuses was when he basically tried saying what happend agaisnt Coventry was because of injuries. I'm sorry but the Man Utd 2nd team and reserves should be beating a team from the championship there's no way you go 3-0 up and draw 3-3. If Man Utd haven't got back up players that are better than championship players why are they at the club

When Martinez plays his aggressive spirit spreads to the rest of the team and the fans. Reading comments from Manchester United fans so relaxed, about whether ETH deserves more time, that they should support while it is a club that is forgotten in high competition, the current times, being such a big club, are not enough to allow more than 10 years in the shadow of the MC and other clubs. A lot of mediocre thinking, football is not the same as it was 40 years ago where you can afford to be left out of the European elite, you are Manchester United, damn it! You've spent millions of pounds and fulfilled your ETH cravings and you don't realize what the problem is! incredible. But keep living in the past until you change that, you will be irrelevant.

Those away results were freak results, 7-0 from like 2.5xG and 7 shots on target. De Gea was criminal. The defence worked but it’s not the same setup this season.
