To people outside the community, it may seem like just a game, but for us, it's been so much more. Thank you.

aw fuck man don't make me cry. the only criticism i have for this video is that i can see at least 5 more minutes worth of clips that show just as much love Summit and the community give out. whoever's reading this, viewer, player, commentator, you're phenomenal.

Got my gf into melee with GOML, with Summit 9 becoming our first summit watch together. Then it just became something to look forward to. Who would get invited? Who would ride an inflatable banana or eat an onion? From the absolutely stupid sketches like Dabuz being a detective or Nick Yingling clones, to the fantastic HBox throwing a CRT or Can Smashers Land a Plane, Summit was always something to see the community come together, have fun, and just playing the damn game. We'll miss you BTS.

Smash summit was the Golden Age of Smash, and it's going to take another miraculous team of people to inject that much love, beauty and passion into the community once again. Thanks you Smash Summit for being such a pillar of the community for SO LONG. As long as Smash carries on, it also carries the dreams of Smash Summit with it. I wish you all the best!😭😭

I've never been good enough to compete even in locals, but I've never enjoyed a community for than the melee community (outside of my teaching community). To see what people have done for this scene is inspiring and amazing. I always want to be a part of this community

I just started going to tournaments a few months ago and this last Sunday was their last of the year because of the holiday season. It’s bittersweet. I wish I had gotten more involved much sooner.

Axe winning was the best Summit of all time.

Other than one time playing at a coworkers house at a little get together, I haven't played melee in literally 20 years. But been watching it since I found out it was a competitive game back in the MLG days. For some reason seeing this video is giving me the itch to play again

I stand by that Mang0's win over Zain in grand finals is still possibly the best set of melee ever played. I have never been more hyped in my life than watching that set. This game is now and forever will be a work of art.

Summit 8 live was legendary

As someone who got in to smash in general through ultimate only 2 years ago, melee specifically is an incredibly beautiful thing. I have every one of you to thank for making smash the amazing community it is able to be.

I really wish someone would keep summit alive. Summit was one of the best events. It was my second and third favorite event. SSC is first just because the 64 combo contest, but summit almost always had fire merch, incredible sets, and memorable moments. We miss you BTS.

I still can't believe its over. Smash summit was my best esports and entertaining event ever. To me those 2 week-ends in a year really felt like christmas for a 6 years old kid. Love this community.

There really won't be another experience like Smash Summit. Even if LACS 5 took the mantle of premier invitational, there's just something special about BTS and their now legendary tournaments that will never be completely replicable.
