I hope we both love the underhistory! Isn't a botanical daughter just stunning?! Honestly the cover called to me so much but the premise sounds so good too!!
The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite book of all time. I read it for the first time when I was a teenager (eons ago 🤐) and I still re-read it every few years. 🛍 Nice haul!
I’d love for you to do a “classics for dumbasses” as I don’t know where to start and I’m scared of most of them.
Count of Monte Cristo is SO good, already looking forward to a reread. I'm waiting till after the new film which I think is coming out in '25 ! It looks epic
I loved The Count of Monte Cristo when I read it - which was maybe a couple of decades ago, so it's probably ripe for a reread. I'd love to read it as a side-by-side English/French translation, but that would turn what is already a brick of a book into something that would surely be classed as an offensive weapon.

I did that with The Three Musketeers and I it’s taken forever but let me tell you, it’s been so good for me. You should! You won’t regret it.
Count of Monte Cristo is one of my absolute faves of all time - it's a stone cold banger for sure!

Oh, that's my name, hi 😁 right I'm done now! 😂 🛍💼
I'm so glad I stumbled onto your channel! You are my new favorite booktuber!!! Your videos are SO FUN to watch! Thank you so much for making reading fun again.
🛍 It's my first time here and *what fun* !!! Thanks so much. Such a good time :)
The cover for What Feasts at Night is SO COOL. Ooooh I got Dancing with the Octopus from the publisher and I didn't love it! I struggled to engage with it! 🛍🛍
Spare Man was one of my favourite books of last year! And Gimlet is THE BEST service dog, but he’s there for chronic pain reasons, Tesla isn’t deaf
👜I just hauled 7 books and I blame G's Magical Readathon for it. Book prompts FTW
🛒 I couldn't find a shopping bag. This is the best I can do. Count of Montecristo is my next tome read😊
I've added so many of these. The Under History sound AMAZING! Also, if you want a queer story that has queer happiness, I just wrote and self-published a book with exactly that in it!! Lol
You are very welcome for the term Haully :D
You always put me in a good mood!❤
This was fun to watch! 🛍️
I finally took the plunge and joined your patreon
🎒🛍👝💜I really enjoyed your new books.
The Spare Man is definitely in a far future but it also borrows the plot of a classic 1930s Noir film so it makes sense that you weren't sure! Also, MRK did post on her Instagram after the book came out that she thinks she made a couple mistakes in how she wrote the service animal but I i think it's still nice to see someone attempt it and I would definitely be curious to see more reviews from readers with chronic pain.
I love the cover of a botanical daughter!
Thankyou for helping me through a hard time ❤
Your intros just make me want to hug you and laugh #RespectingPersonalSpace 🛍
🛍️🛍️🛍️ You did so good! I have not done a proper book haul in a while. Some of the books you mentioned will definitely making it onto my haulley too😉 I read The Count of Monte Cristi when I was 11 or so and I was completely enamored by that. I still have my dogeared book and it’s one of my all-time favorites.
So many amazing books! Thank you for sharing! You make me want to become a nonfiction reader!
I enjoyed What Feasts at night, definitely not ground breaking but fun! I did pick it up and read it in the same day 😂 👜
My most recently hauled books came home in boxes. I took the books out of the boxes. The cats now own the boxes.
I completely forgot what I sent you for your birthday! 😂 Love how happy you are with your new books.
I read an arc of Final Verdict and I absolutely loved it I can't wait to hear what you think about it.
According to my math 15/38 is 39.47% completed. So seems your bingo square might have actually benefited from your shenanigans?? 👍 And OMG I'm so excited my semester is ending in a few weeks. The Count of Monte Cristo film adaptation with Richard Harris has me wanting to read the book, and my copy is just teasing me from the reward TBR pile sitting on my desk. I think this is one of those classics I've heard the most positive reviews of from readers, and I do love a chunky revenge plot. 😂 🛍 (Edited for typos.)
The thing about Western Lane, I agree that it is annoying not having a blurb, but can we also mention how horrible that cover is? It's one of those that I call "I, a non-graphic designer, could have drawn that with my foot" type of covers. Yikes. Really doing a disservice to the paperback there. Is the publisher having a Monte Cristo moment, and wants to punish customers who have NOT bought the hard cover with that atrocity?
💼The Underhistory sounds a bit like the Ladykillers, which is reason enough to give it a try.
🧳or 🎒I might have done like you and allowed me being sick a lot excuse major book buying😅

I also cracked and bought some books in the last month. One was intentional but I think the sales assistant spied my weakness, because he did the whole "if you liked X, you'll probably enjoy Y" thing as he handed me Y... I have all the spine of a worm haha.

Were you reminded about The Count of Monte Cristo while watching the series about the Ivy Ridge academy programme by any chance?!
Enjoyed Take care.
💼 I have been very good this whole year and only bought 10 books. I suppose it helps living in the middle of Africa and shipping fees have tripled 🤷🏻♀️
