Steve Parish is a true proud South London boy who life is CPFC, I'm 77yrs old and went to my first Palace game when i was about 7yrs old and loved Palace with all my heart, best side I've ever seen at the moment.

As a Chelsea fan, I truly love Steve Parish. A top owner and brings total balance to CP in the PL. Sustainability, player development, a good appointment, consistent PL and time to keep building now, but a top owner.

If only we had an owner like him... A man who loves the club, not profits. And it goes to show how well he runs the club when they can bring young, talented players like Olise, Guehi or Eze (well, Eze isn't that young anymore, but still) and not waste 1 billion on them. Last season they needed a good manager (with all respect to Roy), now they got him in Glasner. Frankly I don't want Olise to come, let him stay there, so they can keep doing well. We have enough right wingers already. And honestly? With this obsession our owners have with Brighton, Palace finishing above them is going to feel quite sweet 😂

We never had a single player in the UK squad for decades until recently. Andy Johnson got a few sub appearances under Sven I think. I can´t understand how Mitchell is not in the 33 with the problems we have at LB

​@@Luke86811 I have been impressed by Glasner although unsurprised having heard and read about his trailblazing work at LASK and excellent work at Wolfsburg and Frankfurt. I sincerely hope that bigger seagulls in the pond don't rip apart your squad or prise him away too soon.

I'm very hopeful & pumped up by the new Sir Alf like Brave 🦁 Gareth . I was critical of Gareth at the last two world cups for being too cautious. It feels like learning about Sir Alf & watching brave Klopp win a cup with about 10 x under age 21 kids during the Reds biggest ever injury crisis has helped GS improve a lot as a Boss. So Do ur daily prayers, England fans & help bring it home as u cant win without good luck karma. Gr8 squad by Gareth. Maths Profs very glad. They say GS should select & announce the final squad on weds at 08.00am 5/6/24 in London to stress out rivals who will pick their teams on 7/6/24. Extra 60-70 hrs for our 3 🦁 boys to relax & and visualise victory will be a big big plus factor too. Nice boy Rashford failed to win Euro21 by fluffing cup final pen. Some boys peak early & fade away (Rashford, Jeffers, Walcott, etc) others peak later (eg Palmer & Gordon & Saka who are all much stronger mentally than Marcus & will score AET pen shootouts). Playing a back 3 of Walker Stones Quansah will win it. With Trent-AA & Trippier as wing backs (backed up by Shaw). Golden trio midfield of Rice-Jude-Foden Up front, Kane-Palmer (with Saka & Gordon as impact subs) will bring it home & end 58 yrs of hurt. Or 5-2-3 with Foden Kane Jude up front & Rice & Curtis Jones in the midfield It feels like Gareth is channelling Sir Alf energy this time. (& Not Bobby Robson like in Euro 21). Its finally coming home & then Gareth becomes ManU's new boss as per Oliver Holt Mail Sports article. No offence was intended to Marcus who is a nice guy but look at how Saka bounced back after the pen miss. Marcus missed an early pen & heaped pressure on Saka & Sancho. Look at Marcus body language before the pen. I knew he wud miss it before he took it. Gareth has picked a great squad & check out the analytics on the UK-RG Maths Profs website. They love this squad. They predicted Argentina would defeat France in Qatar World Cup final when most pundits said Messi wud lose in last 16 KO game cuz Messi was too old. Mental resilience is stronger than youthful energy. No disrespect is intended to Marcus. Well done Gareth.

As much as Parish is well liked and well redoected, next season he needs to give Glasner some funds to improve the squad. But better still, the club cannot be getting involved in another relegation battle and needs to compete properly in the domestic cup comps they are usually involved in. Apart from that under Glasner there are plenty of good signs, things sre moving well.

Palace is an amazing launch pad for young players who want to play for England.

If I was in the UK I´d definitely go to see the Riakporhe fight. Seeing my team play is the one thing I miss but I´ve been following Richard´s progress for years now. He has a tough fight but he is a tough man and I´ll be watching him hopefully winning the title at Selhurst. COYP ❤💙

I have just read on the BBC news page today 3rd June "Football gossip" that, quote " Sir Alex Ferguson has met with Crystal Palace’s sporting director Dougie Freedman in London to explore their position on the possibility of selling England defender Marc Guehi, 23, England midfielder Eberechi Eze, 25, and France Under-21 winger Michael Olise, 22, this summer, I am a Palace fan but if these deals go ahead and I were Oliver Glasner I would resign straight away, he agreed the job after I'm sure doing his homework on the potential of the first team which would be taken away if they are sold.

Is the new stand going ahead?

It's a shame that Gareth couldn't convince Olise to switch to England...

They’ve sold very few players since Parish has been around. Most PL clubs sell a lot more. Look at Brighton.

None of them would be even remotely successful without foreign players like Mateta, Olise, etc. Just like average Frank Lampard getting all the credit when at Chelsea despite being mediocre. Just more English desperation to raise ok players to world class.

They are a South East London club to me. Unless they were not based in SE25 and had a CR postocde, then you can refer to them as South London.

Not a Palace supporter but from South London. It's in South London...SE25...in South Norwood. West Norwood isn't even the closest reference point...Crystal Palace (where the athletics were held) is. Irony (and shows you're not from the area) is that West Norwood is in Lambeth, which even if it was closer, is still in South London.
