Proper midfielder with an eye for a goal and the passing of an angel and the workrate and tackling abilty to match anyone ive ever seen and ive watched football for68 yrs.Duncan Edwards springs to mind.

Poise, elegance, balance and a fantastic calmness under pressure. A very nice long game also. Crystal Palace will struggle to keep him.

He will be wasted at Crystal Palace tbh. This kid deserves to play for a big club in the EPL or abroad. If a team really wants him they’ll get him out of his contract but Crystal Palace will ask for the moon ( aka West Ham for Declan Rice),

He passes long like pirlo and tackles like keane..what a player.

Definitely a player teams like arsenal,man utd, Tottenham or Chelsea can do with. Not the finished article yet but there is alot of basics in him and future potential for growth. Can be a good squad player for a while (due to his age and lack of experience) to add depth and also develop.

Yeah, but Wharton should not have to move on from Palace until he is 23 or 24 years old. He’s at a great club for developing, with 38 leagues starts guaranteed, competing in the Premier League & has an exciting season coming up, especially if his teammates like Eze, Olise, Mateta, Guehi & Henderson are retained! One or two more seasons with Palace would do wonders for the club!

Dear Adam if you're seeing this, you definitely need to go to a club where you will learn from an idol. Just like Valverde did with Tony Kroos. I would suggest Arsenal so you keep learning from Rice but definitely seek out an idol and hold yourself accountable to him. Cheers

Actually, scouts from half the PL used to attend Rovers games watching him. Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle and many more were monitoring him. When it came to the point Rovers had no choice in January (the original plan was to sell this or next summer) to sell due to owners not being able to put money in to the club, it caught most clubs off guard. Many had FFP issues, and others wanted ready-made players rather than a gamble on a highly-rated kid from the Championship. Palace took the chance and the rest is history.

Tell me another English No6 that plays a through ball like the one at 01:30 seconds in? Southgate doesn't give him a single minute of game time.

Do you really think Palace would let Wharton go for that amount in order to for to come up with Musiala as a "comparable example" for Wharton??? That´s ridiculous. Alfonso Davis was a similar story bought as future back up who played his first 2 Bayern seasons in the Bayern second team U21 in the "regional league= 3rd tier league" before he got the opportunity to be a part of the 1st team playing Bundesliga. @@michaelgrabner8977 they tried to sign Hudson-Odoi when he was 18/19 and at Chelsea. Long before be went on loan to Leverkusen. The post injury Hudson-Odoi of Leverkusen was half the player be was as a teenager, when the whole of Europe was after him.
