As the mother of one, a son...I would be out of control. I'd hunt the entire ocean until I found my son. When she said to slow down & just listen, that was her spirit knowing the spirit she carried for 9 months. It's a bizarre mother/son connection.

That shining moment of recognition must have been euphoric for all of them. The relief must have been palpable, not least of Dylan’s. Amazing rescue. Truly amazing.

They weren’t. He was alone and his boat got swept away by a strong current. The family heard he was missing and came to the rescue.

@@zmanmotors6649 How could they hear he was missing if he was alone? It just doesn't add up. I've seen other stories where a diver is forgotten by groups and left to die. It's supremely stupid to be out there like that completely alone.

@@tsdbhg he went with a group he found on Facebook....not friends...not in his own boat....I'm grateful for him being found so quickly in extremely SHARK infested waters

Just curious... for backpacking I have a GPS emergency beacon that will send my location to Search and Rescue in a major emergency. Isn't there something similar for diving? Either to S&R or just to your partners on the boat?

There's similar gps device's for boaters but divers and freedive spearfishers rarely have them while diving

Yeah so those gps locators usually activate when they get to a certain depth in the water and or off contact with water. For obvious reasons they wouldnt work while diving

There is a product that could help that is non tech. I am completely unaffiliated but have never forgotten the See Rescue Streamer from Shark Tank. I'm legit serious- please look it up, y'all. It is good for just about any conditions and REALLY elevates your chance of rescue visibility.

I call fake. Why filming when on the boat? Shouldn't you be looking? Also, he drifted THAT far in what....max of 6 minutes?? So that current must've been going 20mph? Also you never dive solo...and carry a DSMB. And...why wasn't the coast guard out looking instead of the family? Whole thing seems phony...but if it is real, I'm glad he is safe!
