@@jamesrush5367 Yea I dont have an issue with what he does. I agree some people like/love what they do regardless of societies view on its "importance" What I took issue with was the intention they had behind mentioning it. It was totally irrelevant to the story. The story is about a stranger running into a house to save somebody elses kids. So clearly the only reason they brought it up was to try and use it as a contrast to his actions. Which is an insult.

Bc people look down upon menial workers. If it was a doctor or lawyer who had run into the building, it probably wouldn't have made the papers but mention a blue collar worker like a pizza delivery guy or a janitor and it'll make the news. Now change that to a homeless man... now you've got yourself a headliner for weeks to come and interviews lined up on local and worldwide News for the next 3 months. It's just like when Susan Boyle made it to the finals on the talent shows. Everyone was in awe that such an "ugly person" could have such a great voice. It was so ridiculous and insulting. You know, there's something odd about this fixation on defining people by their occupations. I thought Nick was delivering pizza to them but he was off work, in the right place at the right time. That's so problematic! Same tactic used when someone hurts or gets hurt, commits a crime or is a victim of a crime-- it really further perpetuates problematic stereotypes and is why people's views are skewed when it comes to being vigilant and recognizing signs and symptoms of wayward and dangerous behavior. Seionna and Nick are heroes, period! "25-year-old" may have even been a better identifier, in a time when people will pull out their cameras, first, something like that provides hope for the next generation that these two heroic young people acted without hesitation. Do better, media!

The family lost everything they owned, but the GoFundMe set up for them has only reached $25K out of its $100K goal as of today. On the other hand, Nick's GoFundFe has passed $500K even though his hospital bills are maybe $20K at the most. I'm not saying he owes this family anything, since he already gave them the greatest gift anyone could give someone: saving the life of their child. I'm just saying it would be the decent thing to do if he could help out this family of 6 with the difference in the money. This sudden windfall leaves him with more money than he can know what to do with, and it's still ongoing. He doesn't need the extra money but these people do. He gained everything, no permanent injuries and now he's beloved nationwide, and they lost everything but their lives. If I were him I would help them with some of the windfall from this near-tragedy.
I got tears eyed myself watching the dad of the kids talk about finding out what Nick did to save his children. It’s one of those things where there is no amounts of “Thank You’s” you could ever say to him to thank him for what he did 😢 Nick is the literal textbook definition of the word hero❤️

@Flynn Spunks When you find yourself in a frightfully situation, and odds are you will, the first words out of your mouth will probably be. "Oh my God!" Happens more often than it doesn't. God imprinted His love for you on your heart, you just need to get your brain working. God bless.

As far as I see it he's in the wrong line of work. To do what he did takes major cojones. Especially with no gear, no respirator, no hose, nothing. If I was him I'd be looking at joining the fire department. They could use a brave man like him.

@@xxx-ie9ic no shit. The entire point is that he’s an every day regular joe. It wasn’t an off duty cop or military vet, it was just an average dude who had the courage to perform a heroic action. It’s inspiring. The people crying about his title being “disrespectful” are just showing that they themselves think it’s a shitty job. He’s a young dude, it’s not like delivering pizza in your early 20s implies your a loser.
Mr Nick Bostick has a calling, and it's not delivering pizzas! Someone give this man a job as a firefighter and paramedic! There's definitely something special about this guy!
You can tell how much this dad appreciates nick you can tell they became good friends
Gods timing is DIVINE thank you Nick!
What the father said was so accurate. It’s beautiful that God can bring out the greatness, strength, selflessness, and bravery of His children in times of distress and horror. I can’t imagine what was going through the father’s head-the idea that you could lose your child and not be able to do anything to prevent it. But fortunately, that was not how it went down and one man-God bless him-was compelled to save the girl.

I ponder what god would make forests and building materials for homes flammable to begin with. No offense intended, but we don't have sufficient evidence for God even existing.

@@wownewstome6123 Ah yes, good old fashioned: “If God real, why bad thing happen?”. Did you ever notice that tons of bad things happened in the Bible and this never had any bearing on God, His power, or His existence? I don’t understand why new atheists seem to think that after 2000 years Christians have never ever been in consideration of bad things. God is not a puppeteer and He doesn’t promise us a good life either. A good life is only promised in Heaven. God will let us die and will let terrible things happen, as is consistent with free will. Ultimately, it is up to us humans to use our free will to help prevent bad things from happening, although it’s proven time and time again that humans will constantly be responsible for all that is evil in the world. Furthermore, a fire is bad, but it should not be considered “evil”. It’s not a living thing with the capability of evil; it simply is. Just wanted to make that distinction. Your problem here stems from a lack of understanding of God and the “why’s” surrounding Him rather than the question of His existence. If you knew God was real, would you still hold him accountable for this? And what position would you have to do so, as a mortal? Furthermore, if God is nonexistent and morality is void and meaningless, there would be no true moral difference between this guy seeing the fire and saving the children and him hypothetically seeing the fire and fleeing the scene without even reporting the incident (which is a crime, by the way). There is plenty of evidence for the existence of God and very little logic to the idea that we could exist without Him.

@@emperorconstantinexipalaio4121 "if God is nonexistent and morality is void and meaningless" Morals would still exist. *People select their morals.* Even Christians do by selecting which brand of Christianity and which church they want. For instance, If you don't agree with rejecting homosexuals, you can find a church that welcomes homosexuals.
Nick is a hero! Love and prayers to you all 💗
Thank God ever one is safe
I wish they would use his name ❤ he deserves that 🤷🏼♀️♥️ and hope his injuries are healed and that he does not have a ton of hospital bills

This is when the planets align in a miraculous fashion! What Nick did was beyond what anyone could imagine--he ran INTO a burning house to offer help. He deserves everything--and mostly respect! Hope this amazing act of kindness and compassion kick-starts the rest of his life in surprising and wonderful ways!

God bless him. REAL HERO.
I have been following this story since it happened. I'm so glad to see him with the family later. Nick Bostic inspired everyone in this country with his faith and his heroism.
