The theory is ...that damn cube is after them... Iu was protecting him from that cube..that's why they are holding their hand till the end coz they want to leave together...the camera is showing them imagination of the world they wanted but now they are running running from the fear of being separated by the world outside..in the end they ended up together...iu covered Tae 's only functional eye coz she doesn't want him to see the sad end...

IU’s character is deaf and taehyung’s one eye is blind. That’s why she uses sign language when they’re eating and she covered taehyung’s left eye at the end to protect it. One theory I read, the couple represents aging people who are close to death and the cube represents the inevitable death. They were reminiscing their youth through the cam recorder which is all cheerful, bright and colorful. However, the reality is not as beautiful, when it’s time for you to go, you have to go. They spent their time together loving each other until their last breath.

That's a cute theory but at the end , they both died so I think that one can't be considered as THE theory. But honestly we all thought it would be some kind of zombie apocalypse,mv and one of them would die but it wasn't. I just think that was funny.🤣 I thought that it would be that iu was hallucinating and she was just seeing tae in her thoughts . Like he was never there she was just imagining it.💜

Another idea is that the cubes are cleansing the world of the mot 'normal" people and the camera shows version where they could be happy and accepted

V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭IU is deaf and V is blind in one eye... That square box seems to be the entity that destroys those marginalized people and that camcorder seems to show people in a world where they are not discriminated against

I just saw someone description about mv and it seemed right that, IU is deaf while V is blind from one eye and that box removes the people with disabilities, they both were running from it than they imagined life where there is no descrimination between people for their disabilities but at the end that box caught them both

Was amazing all MV IU and Taehyung are very good actors and the production and the song and IU's voice is very beautiful.

I don't know what happened, but when I first watched it as soon as the video started I got emotional, and as it went on I just started crying. And cried again watching reactions. Never had a music video/song do that to me before. IU's voice is perfection, and their acting shined so bright. Being so connected to Tae as an ARMY, it hurt to see him like this. 😭 What a beautiful song!!

I’m cried the first time I watched it.. It's really one of the best MVs I've seen for so long too. This song is so beautiful! IU always makes me feel all the emotions through her voice, I love the lyrics and this MV is like a movie. it made me so sad 😭 And we have actor Kim Taehyung back!! Both did it amazing 🙌🏻 And not gonna lie, the pile of clothing in the MV actually made me think of Spring Day, the symbolism of the clothing pile in both MVs are not far off from each other. The tragedy, what is happening in the MV and also made me think about IU losing so many love ones in her life 🥺 I really cried Here IU can't hear and Taehyung's one eye can't see. IU is deaf and V is blind, in this MV. That’s why she is guiding him.And that’s why she cover his left eye at the end. Trough the camera they see eachother normal and beautiful, in a world that seems to not accept anything diferent. So even if the world does not accept them and the cube follow them to destroy them, there love is the one who made them live and die toghether.

After escaping from 'Nemo' and arriving at a ruined space, the two quickly become happy, using camcorders to show each other off and eating delicious food. They dance in their wedding dresses and tuxedos and spend what seems like an eternity of endless joy. However, Nemo's attack happens again. Once again they try to avoid it and escape, but end up accepting reality. At the end of the music video, their bodies disappear, leaving only the wedding dress and tuxedo they were wearing. Although there are many different interpretations of the long music video, director Um Tae-hwa, in charge of production, commented, 'In the music video, 'Nemo' insistently chases IU, who is deaf, and V, who is blind in one eye, implying discrimination against the main characters. It also looks like a smartphone screen that has become a gateway for the use of various unrefined words, or a painting of prejudice and hatred. Love Wins All is a true masterpiece. The gorgeous IU has created an anthem of love for all time. Everything in this music video is beautiful, right down to the dust on the tables. It's pure art. The song is so sensual and sublime. The interactions between IU and V in the music video are amazing. Seriously, IU’s album The Winning is a masterpiece. Every song is such a diamond. Every music video is a visual delight. IU is a true musical genius.

someone theorized that Taehyung is blind in one eye whereas IU is deaf, and the box represents constraint over marginalised people. The camera on the otherhand represents a world where they aren't marginalised.

Such a beautiful and emotional video featuring amazing acting and vocals. I really do hope that Tae & IU do other projects together both film and music as they have great chemistry and when he was on her show their voices also blended so well. Also at the end it was pointed out by someone in the comments that he can hear what is coming but she can't while she can see what is coming but she covers his good eye so he can't. Both cry at the same moment though and from the same left eye. I also noticed the cube waits for them to stop fighting and accept their fate. If you notice there are no other people so obviously no person is able to meet the criteria this cube holds that would allow someone to survive. I can't get enough of this MV, the acting is Oscar level and combined with the award worthy vocals and lyrics it's both heartbreaking but also heartwarming that at least they went together.
