I would feel bad for those who is korean age that just legally became an adult and once the laws applies officially, they revert back 1 year age and becomes a minor lol

Her song "Eight" is about three of her idol friends who sadly committed suicide, hate comments played a role. Probably because of this, as sweet as she is, IU does NOT play when it comes to online haters. If anyone leaves such comments about her, she sues every one of them for the maximum allowable by law, and then donates all the money to charity. She also regularly donates to children's charities, and on her birthday donates in the name of her fan club.

Unlike listening to her songs easily, her songs are famous for being very difficult. Many trainees say they challenge the cover the most because they are their favorite singers. However, it is said that they feel frustrated while actually analyzing and studying songs. Because it's very difficult to sing and there are many details hidden. (This is the story that JYP's singing teacher said on the air. TWICE Jihyo episode) Her concert is famous for being very long. If it's an official two-hour concert, five hours is also possible. Ah IU. All around talent as musician as well as actress. The "idol for idols" and "Nation's little sister". Currently on a big world tour (coming to my country this month). Awesome that you came back to her. Just in case as a reminder: What I consider as the most important "must watch" suggestions for her are: 1. Her MV for "Eight" and the KZread video "IU Eight explained by a Korean" because it showcases how meaningful her songs can be (and teaches you a bit about the K-Pop industry as well) 2. Her Live Performances for "Blueming" (from 2019 Love Poem concert) and "Eight" (from 2022s Golden Hour concert) both record breaking concerts in their own ways, giving you a glimpse into how big she really is She also publishes great "Behind The Scenes" episodes. For example I can highly recommend the two BTS episodes for the Golden Hour concert and as well as the two BTS episodes for Love WIns All that you already watched (MV making off, recording of the song). Everything i mentioned so far is available on her official KZread and should be "safe for KZread reactions". Final suggestion for your patreon: Why not add a K-Drama to your reaction mix? One episode per week, maybe as a nice weekend release exclusive on patreon? A whole other world (and fanbase) opening for you, expanding your Korean entertainment knowledge? You could start with one of IUs K-Dramas (I would suggest "Hotel Del Luna", available on Netflix). Great introduction into the world of K-Dramas and great showcase of what IU can do as an actress.

You should also watch My Mister (a well recommended masterpiece drama it's a must watch ☺️) it's the series where IU got nominated for the first time for Best Actress in Baeksang Art Awards. One of the most prestigious award show in South Korea. And also she was nominated again as best actress the next year for her role in Hotel del Luna. Yes. 2 consecutive years and she's the youngest nominee competing with the veterans actress. She's good at everything. Singing, songwriting and even in acting. This girl is so talented. She can balance her singing and acting career and be the best in both careers. Like she's the number 1 female soloist and one of the most in-demand actress.

Wait till you check out IU's 3 high notes in her hit song 'Good Day'. One of the things that I love about IU is her authenticity and how that authenticity of IU's comes across in her music. She comes from a very humble background and, even though she is now the biggest star in Korea, she has never stopped being humble. Once you go down this rabbit hole of IU's discography, you'll have a difficult time getting out of it. Because IU's music has very deep meaning behind the lyrics, with many beautiful and powerful metaphors that truly showcases IU's abilities as a lyrical genius. Because her music is pure poetry.

At least this was not as bad as her flu while she recorded 'Love Wins All'. I really wish she had been able to change the schedule so she could get over her illness before recording. That was unfortunate. The song came out GREAT, don't get me wrong. BUT, the way she did that is also a cheat code! Because when she sang that song in concert, it sounded EVEN BETTER Live than it sounded in the MV! AMAZING!

What an amazing feat). And the live version of Love wins all is 2x or 3x better than the recorded version. It'll hit you right on the feels. I feel so emo when I heard it live 😭. You need to watch her in her concert coz her live vocals are really divine. Like an angel serenading you what a heavenly voice 😍. It was my best concert experience

You are absolutely correct, I listen to her songs every night going to sleep. IU is one of the most loved and respected celebrity in Korea. She is so humble and honest and she writes, compose, and produce most of her songs as well as an excellent actress. The last song was written and composed by her when she was only 16 years old.

If you like IU live stage blueming in her 2019 concert. The fan chants then basically any live stage 2024 iu concert is the same but more grander. Her fans really love her. They all sing along with her for 2 hour straight every couple mins lol. Thats how dedicated her fans are. Just like taylor swift fans. Both of their fandom is really really crazy. If you talked bad about them, your facebook or any social media will get flooded with criticism and life threatening messages. Out of all your girl group you reacted too. Only blackpink , twice and IU can sell out an olympic stadium. Its already hard to sell out a regular dome/arena but she takes it to another level. Olympic stadium.

I mean 5 hours straight with some break in between every couple song. I think it was her 2022 concert where she belt out 5 hour straight and her fans was engage throughout that 5 hr. It was 3 hour of her original time but her fans keep asking for encores so she did the encores on her famous song again basically free for another 2 hours lol

She currently doing her world tour right now. Shes in the Philippines at the moment. Once she's done with Asia than UK, London she will head over to America, but her tickets are like $250 if lucky sitting all the way in the back arena and if your rich a few thousands usd front row vip lol for 1 ticket. I think you mention you will react to one of the live concert song blueming 2019. She was big then but looking at her concert now in 2024 shes even way bigger lol

You should watch her in the K drama Hotel del Luna. It was the first Korean show I ever watched and still my favorite. She is an amazing actress. ❤

Glad you finally got around to IU and discovered her incredible voice and prescence. It doesn't take long to fall in love with her... Since this is the perfect time, let me say that anyone who enjoyed IU as a singer in this should check out her other day job, award-winning break-your-heart actress in "Hotel Del Luna" and "My Mister." IU is just staggeringly talented... Oh, almost forgot. IU also has an interview show which is a lot of fun. People relax around her and she doesn't ask stupid questions. Cherry on top is IU doing one of her guest's songs and vice versa. Watching IU's reaction to someone doing her song is usually priceless. The show is called "Palette" (after the song) and is on KZread. If you're a New Jeans fan, they did a wonderful show with her, but she also pays tribute to the seniors that helped inspire her and has had Kara and GOD on, who had some interesting reflections on life as an Idol Emeritus...

You should attend IU's concerts, they are as long as 5 plus hours if the venues permit. She sings alone with encore & en-encore where she takes requests from the audiences. On Dingo music she sang nonstop because they tried to squeeze as many songs as possible because she has such a wide repertoire & her B-sides are just as good. She didn't sing her Modern Time album which has jazz, boss nova, swing, big band....

So actually she debuted in 2009 when she was 15 (international age) and that was 16 years so she is 31 (international age) . I heard that the Korean government was going to switch to the international age system for some things but not others so I'm not sure if the two age symptoms are in sync yet ❤😂

IU. What can you say about IU that hasn't been said already? Gorgeous voice, beautiful woman, fantastic personality. Writes most of her lyrics (and a lot of the songs) and works extremely hard. She excels in both singing and acting. I have been getting into her more and more lately and she keeps blowing me away. This reaction was a lot of fun. The list of Killing Voices you mentioned sounds fantastic, I've seen a couple of those and they are mind-blowing. I'm so happy this channel is growing btw, you guys deserve all the followers!

I love to listen to most of her songs as a lullaby because her voice makes me calm. Btw IU once said in her interview before that she wants to collab with Blackpink Rosé and I think it would be amazing if that happens because they both have angelic voice. In case you didn't know, she's also a great actress. Also did you know that Blackpink Jisoo made a cameo in one of her Kdrama called The Producers?😊

IU is really an incredible person and performer. As a vocalist I think Taeyeon is maybe the closest in comparison. Also I'd really like to sneak Bol4 into your Killing voice list if you're looking for a great singer-songwriter with a unique sound and uplifting demeanor.

I find IU fascinating. She has the ability to write songs that have a underlying message, but, can, also, be enjoyed just for the fun of it. "Shopper" is a good example. On the surface, the song is about embracing consumerism, but, the underlying message is to pursue life goals with enthusiasm . To get the full IU experience, watch an official IU live concert video that features fanchants. Again, "Shopper", is a good example. The energy level of her concerts remind me of "March Madness" basketball games. She said her ears were ringing, even after the concert was finished. By the way, she's known for her encores. They can last an hour or longer. I read one of the concerts on her current World Tour lasted 4 hours! Also, her generosity isn't just financial. A young fan invited her to her high school graduation. IU and her staff made a 4 hour drive with gifts for the entire class. The impressive part was, only school officials knew she was attending. No prior media notification. Only cell phone videos by parents and friends recorded her presence. She has her own video crew for her fan site, but, didn't take them.

And actually those songlist are very well known in south korea, like 70% casual people will know that songs.

first off, IU is an amazing talent and a doll. Secondly, I'm late to this because, while you two have regular jobs, you have time off from work to do these videos. As a retired person, I have no time off. For example, when I get up in the morning, I have to: A. Pet the cat. B. Give the cat fresh water. C. Make coffee. D. Feed the cat. E. Clean the cats litter box. F. Make more coffee. As you can clearly see, my schedule is tighter than a homophobes butt at a Gay film festival, so I hope you understand. ;)
