@Kevtech IT Support, at 1:07 or so you mentioned the jab market in NY; I've been applying in that market for the past few weeks. I was wondering if you could expand on what you are noticing in the NYC IT job market these day and any advice you might have. Is it best to reach out to you via your Discord server?

@@Intrepid344 job market bad right now in New York. There paying less for senior level jobs. Entry level jobs are available so that's fine. If you want a high level job, the company paying less.

@@KevtechITSupport Thx Kev, I wasn't sure if I there was extra scrutiny I should be aware of when going through job posts. I was wondering if companies are trying to get away with paying less here with still so many working remotely? At any rate, I wanted to mention that I really love what you're doing with the channel and appreciate your videos a lot! They've been really helpful closing the gap between CompTIA certs to real world.

Thanks. It's been like that because of covid. There taking advantage of it so you will see some repetitive job postings because the pay is bad. Some companies are paying correctly. I spoke about this with Robert Half Technology recruiters about the job market. There seeing some companies lower the pay rate due to covid. You just need to have patience and find the right company.

what type of computer should I use for a virtual machine. I have old pentium III , are they suitable.

Mostly you need more RAM for hosting VM, since OS guests need it for running smoothly, and the most important is your processor has to be capable for virtualization.
