One thing I learned about the nature of I.T. is 360°degrees of knowledge. From Stand Alone Server to Domain Controller... Adding AD, Remove AD, Reinstall AD🔁🔁🔁.

I told you on Discord about the IT Technician interview last week. So small Michigan company, interviewer asked a bit about me, my past work exp, I tried to relate my HVAC exp with IT, configuring wifi thermostats, troubleshooting. He asked me if I am comfortable to travel and work with different people. We talked about my education and he asked details about my projects, asked if I ever worked with Servers hinting on Active directory

@@KevtechITSupport it was my first ever tech job interview, id give myself 6/10, coulda described a few things better. But I`m still a beginner, started studying IT 9 months ago, got Google CC, Sec+, working on CySa+ now and Letsdefend SOC + other courses. They told they gonna let me know in a week if they wanna schedule in person interview or move on

There's no chance HVAC guy can deal with servers and AD on a day to day basis, but this kind of knowledge can be picked up in a week with online courses. Learn about a few key terms like OU, GPO, and you should be ok
Great warmth day! Thank you. And you, everything goes along alright?

Sir I am one of your subscriber all the way from Philippines 🇵🇭 I am really grateful of all your IT videos, I hope you notice my question. What are the common issues of VMware? What are the root cause? And what are the steps to fix it?

Sometimes the pc get frozen or stuck so you need to do a hard reset on the vm. Other times, you need to add space on the vm so you need to fully shut it down.
Thanks!
Would love for you to make a windows server 2022, Kev. Any chances of you making a networking series? Awesome vids btw 💯💯

Hi Kev, ive created a AD/DnS/DHCP in a single server and its working fine. If a creatw a redundancy, do i have to make the 2nd swrver with exactly the same roles(AD/Dns/dhcp). hope you can notice my question. Thanks a lot😊

AD and DNS has to be installed together only for the first server in a forest DNS Automatically installed with Active Directory when a new forest and domain are created, DNS translates domain names into IP addresses, which computers use to identify each other on a network. AD DS uses DNS to locate domain controllers
