I personally couldn't get past the first two chapters, it triggered so many memories. From the way she described Ryle to briefly mentioning her dad's abuse... I don't know it felt too much; characters became real people and that was all I could see, but then again maybe that was the point, maybe that's why Colleen Hoover wrote it. Since I didn't have enough courage to continue reading it I really appreciate finding your recap video; it's really well made and now at least I could rest at night knowing Lily decided to walk away from that, because no matter how ugly it feels to do so it's so much worse to stay, I should know. Thank you again for your video and hopefully I'll finish the book someday when I'm brave enough.

I love how the story is relatable and she brought up important information that never gets talked about a lot. It’s real life issues that happens everyday and that in the end self love comes and play a huge part! I fell in love with this book

I would agree that it may not be age appropriate, but depending on other books you’ve read, it may be okay.

Ryle should be in prison, I hate that his characters suffered no consequences for his crimes.

I too was very disturbed by the fact that there were basically no consequences for what he did to her, except that she decides to leave him. In a way I believe it makes it feel that much more real because in a real world scenario that would be a very realistic outcome, specifically for a person like him, who is a wealthy doctor and highly thought of.

he was abusing a chair😓 I just finished the book

tried to make myself finish it but i just couldnt. the writing is terrible and so many parts were cringe. thanks for the summary lol
