Shotguns have an effective range of about 35 m (38 yd) with buckshot, 45 m (49 yd) with birdshot, 100 m (110 yd) with slugs, and well over 150 m (160 yd) with saboted slugs in rifled barrels. Not to say that games get it wrong, but they do seem to make them effective in only about a 5-10 meter radius… which is a shame. Really makes me happy when games give ya the option to choose ammo types though, cause they usually do shotguns justice

I think cyberpunk actually does a pretty good job with shotguns. I recall actually being able to get some distance kills if not at least doing notable damage.

@@zackagonxm and another thing about slugs, unless you are wearing something of the level 4 armor sort, you will NOT get back up after getting hit that thing was made to take down bears and such humans are squishy compared to those

10:00 agreed, it'd be nice if phones had sort of both, a keyboard and touch screen. You slide the keyboard out, boom touch screen deactivated, slide it in, boom activated. Mostly to keep touch screens for games, but beyond that I would not complain to sliding out keyboards.

4:07 This is me in most games, except Shin Megami Tensei 3. You will use items a lot because you can get screwed over within mere seconds if you hesitate. Plus you get max heal items even from random enemy encounters so it's not really a big deal. Just wish mana recovery items were more common on Hard mode.

@@AnandaX8456 I've personally never enjoyed turn based rpg battle systems before until I played Nocturne. The Press Turn system made me realise that the issue for me wasn't the genre, but the battle systems simply not being interesting enough. That difficulty and the game trusting the player to learn the systems and figure out different strategies to get through the obstacles felt genuinely satisfying, especially since there's numerous ways to adapt and strategize in fights. Now Nocturne is one of my favourite games despite being so brutal at times.

@Arexion5293 yeah, turn based RPG's can be more brutal than action or any other type of game if you ask me, i have played Final Fantasy 7 and 8 as a child but the game that made me think more about how i play a turn based RPG was FFX that made me stop and grind for some battles and think abou what my move would be since is similar to SMT/Persona where sometimes you get more turns by crit the enemy or using buffs, when i got to SMT and Persona it was new mechanics to me at all and it was kinda hard even on "normal", the time limit of Persona and not knowing english well enough made even harder(i am from Brazil)

I thank my childhood, walking around like a werewolf or a T-Rex, pretending to roar because I was the shyest of boys, and accept this award in younger me's honor. I would also like to thank teen me that time I dressed as an elf, Link from Zelda, and the cowboy boots I wore for my LOTR strider outfit for that dress up day in high school (forgot the theme). Especially since it helped me as a sprinter, when I would join track my last 2 years of high school. (a few seconds later)... I also promise I don't do weird stuff in my off time lol, still a runner too... though lack the stamina I used to have, my speed has never wavered.

8:55 it is for this reason I started using my shotty with a body as I like to call it in Left 4 Dead 2, zombie games are the only ones that truly know the power of a shotgun lol. To think I used to settle with an oozie or a scar, assault rifle I do still use... but my shotty going to fill up those zombie bodies... especially witches... occasionally Zoey accidentally with friendly fire (wink wink wank wonk).

@drakofox1362 in Lies of P is good that you keep your parry consistent, kinda like Sekiro if you did see some gameplay of it, when the enemy loses it's posture you get some hits with your weapon or arm and then you do "stab" on them, don't forget to use lightning fot puppets and other stuff for humanoids, swap and try other arms out, you can also reset your build to try new stuff or other weapons, i'am going to sleep so good night or day to you where you are~ hoped i helped a little~
