Any country that is friendly to their animals will always be in my bucket list! Can’t wait to go there!

The only city where I have seen so many huge and handsome dogs. The cats were there too - in plenty! But, it’s the dogs that caught my eye.

At another city in Turkey named Eskişehir where I live in, stray cats and dogs are not so different from İstanbul and I guess them treated better here from the people.

@@ike4425 Why should I be jealous? We’re living in this sh*t. Streets, parks, beaches are infested with stray dogs. In many neighborhoods people cannot walk a mile without facing attacks by packs. You can hardly see anyone when it gets dark. People have to sacrifice so that some urban pests can roam freely. Bravo Turkey for this high quality of life, … for strays 👏

@@joshcoon Than blame your local administration , municipality for not doing their job not dogs. And, If you make a little googling you will find numbers of statistical reports proving Farm animals, wasps and ticks are much more deadlier than dogs. Also, Epistemologically there is no such thing like “stray” because dogs,cats are ANIMALS and they are not there to be creatures living indoors.

So ironic that my country which is 80% Buddhist and boasting of harmlessness etc. Treats stray cats and dogs cruelly while almost worships poisonous serpents. Salute to the Turkish people. 🌹🌹👍🏻👍🏻

While we were eating at the restaurant in Kadıköy, Istanbul, a stray cat came and joined our meal. I added the video to our channel. Turkey is like a paradise for stray cats.

It is nice people are kind to dogs and cats. However, the local politicians should be involved in a campaign to remove all the pets from the streets. Fix them so no more babies are coming 😔 it is sad to see so many dogs and cats trying to survive on the streets.

Turkey is secular and our love for animals has nothing to do with Islam, long before Islam was even a thing Turks loved animals a lot, back when we were tribal nomadic warlike nation of shamanic and Tengrist faith.

KEYWORD: KNOWN. That is centuries ago, long before the existence of any Abrahamic religions. If Turks had any other faith before that is unknown, hence the reason of its mention... It is mentioned due to it being part of the history not because it had anything to do with love for animals. Turks are known to put horses before their wives as the ancient saying points, Turks are known to raise and breed war mastiff dogs which later became Kangal dogs etc. etc. Good for you if you love Islam, but getting idea of I am "against" it and getting offended over it is a special kind of mental gymnastics because I could care less, Islam might be beautiful but it didn't exist while Turks' love of animal was around longer. Again Tengrism - shamanic culture was mentioned because its part of the Turkish history and first known faith - just to point that Islam has nothing to do with Turks' love of animals, Turks simply happened to have that faith around that time. Turks always loved and cherished animals REGARDLESS OF FAITH AND GEOGRAPHY. After all life of nomadic people would obviously center around animals and their descendants would carry that culture and lifestyle whether they are settled or not. Turks still loved animals when some became Christian, Turks loved animals when some converted to Judaism. Turks simply love animals. It has nothing to do with faith.

A dog is considered an unclean animal in Islam. The Turks I know here in Germany are disgusted by dogs. They say, and I totally agree with them, that human beings should take care of other (poor and sick and lonesome...) human beings FIRST !!!

They are mostly fundamentalist, over religious people. Not all Turks are like them, as you may see in these type of videos. I advise you to befriend more secular Turks in Germany.

yup. according to cnn this is the only positive thing we have. otherwise we are murdering any living thing for fun unlike you guys. can't even laugh at it cause it is so weird in both ways. we even care for animals we do not use them for profit or benefit. i wish more people would do it too.
