In fact, there is a whole organisation set up by ex idf soldiers who are regretful of their participation in the idfs decades of war crimes. The organisation is called “Breaking the silence”. If you look at IDF soldiers, many are mentally messed up. Some committed suicide, some can no longer function. When you oppress someone, doesn't matter who it is, it will catch up with you. The more you harm others the more you harm yourself, at first you may not realise it so much but it will catch up. I'm a therapist & have counselled many people & mentally this will eat away at you no matter who you are. Be good, just, fair, kind,,,, it's a win win all around & if you don't well eventually you lose.

I have not seen Hama shoot ppl with white flags, block aid trucks getting in, poured concrete into wells. I have heard how Israelis civilians and IDF speak, and their government. I think Israelis are sociopaths and a very sick society. If Hamas and Palestinians in general hate them. My suggestion would be don’t treat ppl like garbage and maybe they won’t hate you. Don’t steal their land, destroy the olive trees, kill unarmed civilians on the West Bank. Lock ppl up with no trial. It is disgraceful and I hope one day many of them stand before The Hague. I know they won’t be ashamed because they have no shame. The atrocities they have committed for 76 years would fill a library.

He's not saying anything most of us don't already know, all you had to do was listen to what the IDF leadership said publicly they planned to do at the beginning "These are human animals and will be treated as such" that was said in response to a question about the morality of cutting off water and electricity to the entire population and the devastation it would cause. This was before the horrific footage and individual stories started to come out about grave atrocities. I worry for the stability of the world with this one, the west has completely ceded any moral high ground when they continued to supply the arms which are obliterating tens of thousands of women and children. This is genocide and war crimes in open sight and our leaders are expounding verbatim the war propaganda of the perpetrators.

Interesting how this journalist is of Persian or Iranian heritage and there is no information about this so called soldier he is interviewing. War is an atrocity, but when your country"s security is at risk and you are constantly being bombarded with rockets and terror threats, you need to take action.

Seriously. You don't read much. Operation Barbarossa was the invasion east by the German army. And along with the military objective, they hoped to kill 30 million people in year one, more later, for land clearances. They fell short, but killed around 15 million. The Russians had killed several million people in parts of the same region during their state engineered famine, earlier in the 30s. The response to 9/11 killed hundreds of thousands, and caused millions of excess deaths. The Chinese have many persecutions against religious minorities in their country. You can be against the destruction in Gaza without being blind to the realities of the world.

You'll find that using human shields is a common IDF tactic that carried on despite Israeli court judgements against its use. In addition, Israel has had more UN resolutions brought against it (for its treatment of the Palestinians ) than all other countries combined. There are many documentaries about the abuses by the IDF in the occupied territories. You could try a search through Al Jazeera docs. These aren't one-off incidents, they are are pervasive and cultural in the in the IDF.
