It took me a while to realise what they were telling me was true. Our generation were hoodwinked I thought I was being told the truth. Of course, they are talking generations, not individuals, but our respective generations have each had unique experiences which include unique pitfalls that many have yet to overcome. In the case of Boomers, we didn't have the benefit of the Internet and grew up reading the NYT and listening to Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite. These resources always lied to a degree, I'm sure, but nothing like today. Just like the whole world itself, "information" has become more corrupted over time, little by little until now when all mainstream sources simply make up the propaganda arm of the US government. Many disinterested people failed to notice the change and still trust in those resources. Same thing in many other countries. I suppose it's important for theorists to talk in terms of generational shifts and doings, but I'll be honest, it still sticks in my craw every time I hear people blame the entirety of our situation today on the older generations. So many of us have been involved and aware for all of our lives, but unable to prevail against the insurmountable forces we face. I keep looking at the group who volunteered to be a part of the Gaza flotilla to take aid to Gazans. Many many older people on that crew. They all knew it was a life-risking proposition, but they volunteered anyway.

Yes, I'm at the tale-end of Gen X, and a lot of us have adapted with the times, but I have to admit that many haven't. I'm watching independent sources and doing my own research, but many are still glued to FOX and CNN. It's a difference in personalities - between the naturally curious and those who don't have the desire to dig deeper into history. A lot of people are just plain intellectually lazy, or lack critical thinking skills.

Anyone (of any age) on social media with a remote interest in world affairs has finally been able to see the realities of what many have been trying to tell us for years, but our msm media has glossed over the truth (to put it mildly). There are alternate sources of media that are now being shut down by Israel. Al Jazeera and others have just been banned from operating in Iz. Seems a bit suspect that a “democratic” state would ban any media. As any of us who have followed the college protests have seen, they have been overwhelmingly peaceful (until the police show up), yet the media and politicians are making them out to be criminals. We all need to wake up and engage regularly with our representatives. While many are bribed by lobbyists for Iz, the more citizens who can pressure them, the better.

When somebody wants to turn the camera's off, it's NEVER because they're doing good. It's how cowards admit guilt.

It’s obvious that Marián doesn’t read comments. If he did, he’d quickly see that the young and younger are watching Al-Jazeera and other channels on YT. The censoring also indicates youth’s resistance to endless wars and mass murder. We’re all tired of it, young, middle-aged and older, like myself, who’s lived 69 years watching conflict after unnecessary conflict. Nothing changes, it only worsens.

I also think that this generation of young people feel that politicians are no longer useful to run their country! They are seeing that their future is going to be very problematic and hopeless. And they don't believe that politicians are doing the job they are paid to do.

Speaking for myself, living here in the US, I REALLY APPRECIATE, being able to watch some alternative news outlets, Such as, Aljazeera , Democracy Now, Middle East Eye, and Status Coup. Of, course, if "Bibi" Netanyahu has his way, along with many of our AIPAC, bought off, US Congressmen; we may not enjoy FREE SPEECH and/or FREE PRESS , very much longer. You should really stop calling this a war. I could see calling it a war if at least half the people killed were fighters but it hasn't. The only thing they've accomplished is killing a bunch of innocent people that were just trying to get out of the way. They can't hit the fighters unless they can find them and they've destroyed the buildings which means, good luck with that. It would have been extremely difficult anyway because of the tunnel systems. The above ground rubble effectively gives the resistance another medium to travel through that the Isrealies can't. It reminds me of that thing I saw about a person asking God why He led them into such a crazy storm and His answer was, "Your enemies can't swim..." ... the enemies of the Palestinians cannot swim...

I was merely pointing out that this is because they have experienced many hardships because of the economy since 2008 and it makes perfect sense if you work with teenagers who have experienced poverty, hunger, and homelessness.
