Israeli Defence Minister says army is ready to take any necessary action against Hezbollah
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that the Israeli army is prepared to take any necessary action against Hezbollah, asserting that the forces will achieve full readiness to undertake whatever is required in Lebanon.
Gallant’s comments follow Hezbollah's announcement that an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon resulted in the death of a senior commander from the group.
With near-daily exchanges of fire across the Lebanon-Israel border, there is a looming threat of a full-scale war between Hezbollah and Israel-an outcome that Western diplomats are urgently trying to prevent.
