Listening to your report on the ceasefire that Hamas says it agreed to, I didn't hear some of the points that Israel required in order for a ceasefire to work. This sounds like Hamas still retaining power and Israel would need to accept a permanent ceasefire, both of which were non-negotiable from Israel's perspective. Did you forget to include that? Or were you trying to shape the available facts in order to tell a certain story? It certainly seems like the latter.

7 months and Hamas still can't give a full list of who is alive and who is dead - Israeli coroners just found the body of someone who they thought was a hostage all of this time. They claim that they don't know who is alive of the hostages because of the war, but we are expected to believe their casualty statistics

Why should israel accept anything from hamas? They have nothing to offer and no position to do it let it be fought out until one side surrendering to the other.

Ha mas wanted complete amnesty and immunity from consequences permanently but intends to continue violence regardless. This ridiculous demand also only was for a third of the hostages. Thus they would just take hundreds more hostages next week with no repercussions if this was the deal.

@@32shumble Israel has accepted every actual peace deal that has been offered for over 70 years. It has been under attack, major war and terrorism for 70 years. It won them all. It took all the land - and has been giving it back in the hopes of peace - to always be attacked again. A "peace" now just means another 7 Oct some time in the future. The Islamic world cannot make any peace because it would have to sign a piece of paper that acknowledges that the State of Israel exists - which they can never do. The US and UK would not suffer a 7 Oct, and those numbers as a percentage of population, dwarfs 911 - and accept mediation - those governments would not survive.

Would you protect your own freedom with violence? They have been under siege for decades, and occupied for half a century. Even if you don’t care about pre-Zionist Palestine, there are official borders that have not been respected by Israel, especially in the West Bank where Hamas is not in control, hundreds of thousands of illegal Israeli settlers have moved in. Why would hamas or Palestinians in general accept violent invaders in THEIR lane? What gives Israel the right to invade legally set borders to do whatever they want? They also have plans to take parts of Yemen, Jordan, Syria, Turkey and others, and share maps of their “future” plans for Israel. They are using 10/7 as an excuse to take land they always wanted. They have been planning resorts on the Gaza Strip for a long time, and open about it.

Because Israel has thousands of innocent Palestinians held without charge for YEARS, sometimes decades. Some go in as young children and come out so old and traumatized their families can’t recognize them. This has been going on for decades, hamas just did what Israel has been doing, except with 100 people instead of 10,000 hostages.
