Ah, I was there for Tysons run and honestly, Teddy dodged a bullet, saved a lot of BS and prevented a lot of headaches, Tyson is great to look back on now, but in reality it was 50-50 if he would even show up to the event its 50 Jail or 50 Boxing ring. Not that Tyson had the historically best competition, but he was definitely GOAT of his generation.

About his Strickland fight, Teddy said "Israel wasn't as Bruce Lee-like as he nornally is." Sean in that fight was also doing something Bruce talked about. Bruce said "The best defense, is a defensive offense." Strickland was coming forward with near constant offense and pressure, while maintaining an excellent defense. Hope you get that one back Izzy and I can't wait to see it!

We don't know But even if he had, it doesn't even matter He lost and that's it🤷🏿‍♂️ The most important thing is just learning what you did wrong there and making sure that some stuff like that doesn't happen again

@@Deimian676 you really think it was all luck that he walked Izzy down beating him up for 25 minutes was luck? That Izzy missed more than ever, and even the hits they did give him were mostly leg kicks and most of them were checked. If the ufc had judges with workings brains, or were fighters themselves Izzy would likely have been at 10% striking accuracy. You think that was luck? I bet you’re also one of those little downies who think Izzy intentionally meant to get closed to finished before getting a very “skillful” counter vs Alex in their last fight. Hahahaha fr let’s talk about that one, you think Sean was more lucky than Izzy vs Alex? Lol

@@That-One-Spy-MainExactly saying shit like “he got lucky” or throwing excuses out there will only guarantee he loses a rematch cuz this was definitely a skill problem, at least with Pereira you can say it was very competitive and Izzy was up 3-1 and he got caught at the end, Strickland just shut him down that night so it cant be something that’s just like “Oh I overlooked him” because nothing will change

  • @Humanitip

Izzy's mistake against Strickland was aiming at the right side constantly. Strickland only had to block one side of the body, but if you replay the fight 80% of the strikes hitting Sean's left landed clean.

I also strongly believe that Poatan had something to do with it. Remember that left hook? Where did it land? The right side. Shit prob gave Strickland ptsd and he tightened up when facing Adesanya. His adjustments are incredible but I truly believe this was a perfect scenario for Sean and a nightmare of a scenario for Izzy.

So composed. He genuinely believed in himself when nobody did. Beautiful man.

If Teddy didn't become a trainer and fight analyst he could've easily followed a path into psychiatry. He's got more than one, but his greatest gift is a keen ability to understand what's happening in someone's mind and how it can be leveraged as a strength or exploited as a weakness. A lot of what it takes to be a great trainer can be taught and learned, but I think that reading people on the level that Teddy does is a much more unique character trait. He also appears to have a genuine deep love of what he does and so he's always willing to share his insight with the world. Thank you for all of your contributions to combat sport Mr. Atlas. 🥊🏆

I might be wrong here but I've followed your journey since the 1st time you stepped in that cage and since the 1st video you put out. You inspired me. 1st time I saw you step in that cage I was like holly shit! this dude knows how to bring out his Kurama. Every fight it felt like you unlocked a new jutsu, I felt like each camp leading up to Alex you were still that young Rock Lee. I felt after getting that W with Alex you lost some of that. I may be wrong here but shit it cant be easy to continue feeling like a white belt when you the champ champ champ for this fucking long and have the self belive you do. Looking at your body language in this video I can see that again. You steping up to that cage and telling your Kurama. Its time for another run dog! and fuck I cant fckn wait to see you live again. Thanks Izzy for all the respect you and your camp give to Teddy Atlas, In America we as in grandfather, father and I watched Teddy one way or another Boxing or MMA. Not that we all always agreed with him but, something to think about.... thanks again Izzy.💥💜
