I know Dan is Izzys’ boy, but he definitely wasn’t fine. Personally, I thought it was a really good stoppage. It’s hard to see Dan fall like this. Such a top geezer. He’s been fed to the lions in a way. Literally takes no easy fights. Hopefully it’s not too late to build him back up.

I think he needs to retire he felt the need to move down when he's already big lightweight , so he obviously doesn't feel like 155 is for him , and then he almost kills him self to make 145 n his performance reflected that , I love Dan bit I think he should either hang it up or go for the 165 division in eagle fc , him vs Kevin Lee would be HUGE for both of them and Efc

@@AChi__ Yes I think so. When a fighter takes a lot of damage or gets knocked out he suddenly becomes aware both of the detrimental health effects and the fact that it can happen again. And so each time it does happen again they're no longer fighting free and almost fearlessly (like he did with Felder, Poirier).. I think it's to do with a heightened awareness and self preservation - instinctually. You see the same thing with Marlon and Cody to an extent. I watched Hookers fight with Poirier again right after and it is a completely different fighter in there. Sad to see.

weight cut didn't help but the back to back wars with Felder and Poirier seem to have really taken a toll on Dan. Watch the poirier fight then watch Dan's four fights since and he's just not the same guy in there anymore. I hope he can get back to winning ways, I'm a fan of the guy

Excited for this one - I love Dan and I hope he finds his rhythm again but it was pretty ridiculous decision making to try and pounce & press on an opponent who was just throwing like Arnold Allen was. Dan's got so much range and style, he could've tried to break away a little more after surviving the initial onslaught because you can bet on Allen gassing later in the fight if he explodes like that in round 1 (even though I do have a lot of respect for Allen, dude can fight - he was EMPTYING his gas tank).

CKB has done Dan wrong. I wanted the 145 cut to work, but it seems to have affected him more than anyone realised and that points to a problem in the camp preparation. He also needs to take time off, his schedule has been ridiculous. Chandler, Poirier, Islam... He's made crazy good money, why not sit tight and regroup.. maybe make himself into a stronger/bulkier 155er.
