They are much more numerous now then in the 50ies although most are still within their neighbourhoods. In most cities you won't see them even now or anybody else, only cars...

Even nowadays Israel is a nice place to visit for tourists and you don't feel like u are in a completely new world. Sure, some things are different but overall it's a nice place where people live together peacefully (despite the dozens of fights between IDF and Hamas or Palestinian fighters who are not okay about Israel's occupation of the West Bank.)

The creation of Pakistan resulted in the shifting of millions of refugees (Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan, and Muslims from India to Pakistan), and in the deaths of several hundreds of thousands and perhaps even a million people. The creation of Israel, or at least the war started by the Arab states who rejected the UN plan, resulted in a far lesser shifting of population and loss of life than the creation of Pakistan. 70 years later, the Hindus and Sikhs forced out of their ancient homelands to accommodate Muslim self-determination have for the most part moved on, and almost no one protests the massive disruption of population and loss of life that accompanied the creation of Pakistan and the accommodation of Muslim self-determination. However, some people who accept that disruption as a necessary cost to achieve Muslim self-determination view the much smaller disruptions necessary to accommodate Jewish self-determination as an unthinkable crime. Jews have lived continuously and without interruption throughout the Middle East for approximately 3,000 years, and there were Jewish communities in places like Morocco, Tunis, Algeria, Lybia, Egypt, Israel, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran hundreds of years before Islam existed. Hundreds of thousands of Jews from those countries were forced to flee those countries when the State of Israel was created. @@dudefrombelgium Yes, or rather, skin colour is much less important to people outside the US😅i'm not saying my country is free of racism, but it's just not as much of a factor in our daily lives, or as much of a matter of personnal identification.
