I’m very late but yes. I think he has not as much confidence because reality set in. His knees are what they use too and it’s hard for him to compete with these young guys. Prime only come 1 time in your life and when it goes, you will change forever. Usman with good knees can be champ but he can’t even throw kicks. His wrestling is pure upper body based. How can he fight with Dricus or Strickland or Leon with only punching and striking. This is not work, you have to have all weapons. It’s sad but usmans time has went. He is still very dangerous though, just not champ level anymore.

As stated you can see the trash talk is just for show. They crack every now and then and give eachother the highest of praise. I do think both can win. I'm Aussie but not biased. (Khabib is king.) I just can't see Islam flooring Volk with the hands unless it's on the end of a combination or Volk steps into the punch. I can see Volk flooring Islam with a clean shot. But once on the ground, Islam is so tough and might shake it off. Honestly just two great fighters and whatever the outcome both champions. If I HAD TO BET I'd put my money on Volk just because of the power advantage.

But he chose to fight on short notice so if he loses he has nobody to blame but himself because surely he could have gotten this fight at a later date. If I was him with the last fight being so close when he DID have a full training camp and had the advantage of being at home, I wouldn't take the fight without being able to have a full training camp, especially being in another country. Kind of shows what Islam was saying, they offered him enough money and that's what he cared about more. The problem with that is if he loses this time there won't be a 3rd time. Bad decision if you ask me.
