I’m a huge Volk fan but we all know Islam is the favorite which means Volk is the underdog by default. He was also considered the underdog in the first 2 Holloway fights and the fight with Ortega

This is a great fight, both dudes are extremely skilled but what’s interesting is how mentally strong they both are. It seems equal. Usually you can tell which one of the two people fighting have the mental edge. This one is different.

Islam is more relaxed. Volk is very very good but its a bigger challenge for him than it is for islam and it shows cuz islam is just completely relaxed and confident. Volk is also relaxed and very confident in himself but not as much atleast doesnt show as much as Islam in my humble opinion. Anyways good luck to both and may the best man win

Ufc has been killing it lately .. burns vs chimaev didn't think I'd be more hyped for a fight then Islam vs olivera , then Izzy vs Alex , and now this fight .. it's been a blessed half year

Volk is making me get outta my chair and do 40 push ups with his speech man. That man is overflowing with confidence. Islam is prolly gonna run through him but goddamn that energy and confidence is so good.

Maybe. But Volk really isn't that much smaller. a few inches shorter, but he's been big before and think he has enough strength and power to hold his own. He's definitely faster/better with striking, and has a longer reach and Islam. This could be amazing... or it could be Islam just smashing, which is amazing in it's own right but not nearly as exciting lol

@@MansterBear People keep forgetting that Volk comes from a sport where there's no such thing as too big to mess with. If you're a 5'6 70kg guy on the field you step to the 6'8 120kg big boy regardless. Volk is one of the last people who'd be intimidated by a size difference.

Anatomically that doesnt matter. Your muscle and nerve system do not forget about that and can tap in to that mental and physical strength if needed. Though, on the other hand, Islam has been committed to fighting since he was a kid. These Dagistani fighters are a different. But so is Volk. Will be a dope ass fight whatsoever.

Man I'm not even the biggest Volk fan but it feels pretty amazing to finally see him get the home crowd reception as champ

I got into ufc properly I’d say around 2017-2018, I’ve never looked back. It’s the best sport in history for me, so much more wholesome than boxing.
