I knew Islam would come out better this fight. He underestimated Volk the first time. Tho you can say Volk wasn’t 100%, a first round KO is still impressive

Haters will focus on volkanovski not having enough time for this fight but Islam didn't beat him through submission, grappling or by tiring him out.. he won by knockout early and that's nothing short of extraordinary against a well rounded volkanovski. I love and respect volkanovski and consider him the goat of Featherweight but we have to put our hands up and accept Islam being the better fighter.

Volk is one of the best strikers in UFC history yet got beaten on the feet by Makhachev. He nullified his wrestling, almost took him down. Got caught with a ko head kick , you can’t tell me he planned on ko’ing him . If anything the plan was to submit him , once he realized he couldn’t do that he started striking more , unfortunately for volk he was weary of the take down and got kod clean . Be real bro .

To be fair Khabib did train him in this camp in Abu Dhabi. Khabib just wasnt cage side b/c if he showed supported for Islam cage side than he would have to go to every other fighter in there group cage side. But he did train with him during this camp. The one in Australia he didnt, but still won 3-2 or even 4-1 there.
