Islam smokes everybody in the lightweight division except Sickarian. Nobody else at lightweight has any business in the cage with Islam. It's fun to watch guys like Gaethje and Poirier fight but 155 has no new champion or any new top contenders on the horizon. Lightweight is a stale and stagnant division.

Max, Justin, or Charles have a very low probability of beating Islam. Maybe Justin has a better chance out of the 3 but Arman will give Islam his hardest fight.

I've been out of the UFC loop since it got too expensive to watch (I miss the free fights/content especially as a parent of FOUR kids!) and havent seen a bout since Cowboy vs McGregor but to me, I always loved TUF unless the coaches didnt fight eachother. or took forever to fight eachother. Losing that momentum, coming off a TUF season, always bugged me. Thats the fight game, I guess.

In India we watch it for free on TV on Sony Sports, and we watch on Sony LIV but it requires subscription if you want to watch live, but you can watch it for free next day with lots of ads. For Indians subscription costs 12 dollars for 1 year. You can check it in US it will be definitely costlier than 12$, so it's a good alternate for paying less for UFC fights.

I honestly think that Islam can get 17 wins in a row which is the highest in UFC history beating Silva's 16.

Arman gets huge credibility giving Islam problems in his first UFC fight in 2019. Went the distance but got mad respect for his debut loss like some have done and made changes to the better. I can't stand the guy, but i think he's somewhat crazy. If he wins Olivera then Islam can't duck him more, i think.

I hope Dana sees the downside to company's longterm growth if they keep making competitive muslim fighters almost exclusively fight on the MiddleEast events. Look it turned out interesting when Islam fought in Perth for a change right. I know it's probably part of the incentive of being a champ, having your match in front of a favorable audience (home-court atmosphere) but it's frankly very limiting for their growth and reputation. Maybe make the champ and contender level fighters compete in their home region once but all other times of the year book them somewhere else.

​@andyleather9742 I'm going to make a couple of assumptions: A) Most of the ufc's audience is english speaking, so mostly in America B) There are more venues (and probably cheaper to host there for Dana and the US fighters for transportation) in the US However, Sean did grow to be a bigger star going to Australia and Canada, so yeah, it is the same, just on a smaller scale because fewer people are watching the ufc in those places. I could be wrong, I mean, MMA is the second biggest sport in Brazil.

As I always said that each fighter and division in UFC have different story and situation.

The only 155er that has any shot against Islam is Arman, if he even beats Charles. Islam should move up and challenge himself at welterweight. Would love to see him vs Shavkat, probably would never happen though.

Just because you believe that Islam beats everyone at lightweight doesn’t mean he gets to not fight them, he shouldn’t go up to welterweight. The guy has 2 title defences against the same guy who, by the way isn’t a contender at 155. He needs to clear out his division, fight the top 3 and then think about if he wants to go up
