Respect too, a great many fans believed he didn't deserve to be fighting for the title and was going to be exposed for 'skipping the queue'. With his performance, he silenced any and all doubt.

His expression in 3:03 about his daughter is priceless. Everybody talking about Oliveira changed after his daughter birth, but forget that Islam has same motivation as well.

No duh he did well on the feet. He's literally been training at a kickboxing academy for the past near decade. I don't know where this narrative came from that Dagestanis can't strike. Hello, Zabit? These guys have been training various Styles their whole life, whereas most Americans only started off with wrestling or jiu-jitsu, before jumping into other arts. The Brazilians at least have decent Muay Thai, but they have stuff like Wushu Sanda and boxing over around Dagestan's way.
