I've been watching mma most likely before you. What you probably don't consider is that khabib and Islam are huge 155ers, their style would not translate in their natural weight class. Its documented Theyre willing to almost kill themselves for the weight advantage.. Khabib would often miss weight and dominate as a welterweight.. And I don't find this to be honerable.

Let the kid actually PROVE himself first by defeating Burns, Luque, Colby, Whittaker, Vettori, Usman, Izzy et al. THEN SAY, "He's on another level." Again, right now, please don't speak the PURELY trash talker's name in the same breath you're talking about Usman, GSP, JJ, Khabib, Izzy, Silva et al. its pretty simple. casuals still have an emotional pull for who they want to win and also for what they see in films. flashy styles make sense to them. experienced fans know that no matter how great bobbys win would have been and even though he has one of the sickest striking styles ever to be seen, that a strong wrestler will literally take a striker away from positions that he can strike in lol

Humble guy, future lightweight champ. Nobody is beating any of these Dagestani guys. They are here to take over like the Gracies did when they brought BJJ to the UFC way back when. There is simply no defense for this type of wrestling/grappling/ground game. These guys have been living in the gym together as brothers since they were kids. There's levels to this game. I noticed that most fighters tend to be just average because their striking is decent or good. The guys who excel are the ones with elite striking/wrestling/grappling. The reason why kahbib and Islam are super dominant is because they are not just an elite wrestler/grappler they've become masters at that discipline. That's why they dominate their competition. There's no point in being an elite striker if your wrestling is average because the guys who can wrestle will expose that weakness in your game.

As champ he will make more money for the UFC than Oliveira or JG...Khabibs PPV number was like 500k buys but it's just icing on the cake for the UFC as Abu Dhabi pays big money to host...and his non PPV numbers will be bigger internationally.. Fighters choose their own style, and no other than fighter and the Coach, no one even manager, fan, or fighting org can dispute the fighter decision for a style (rules included of course). MMA is just that, Mixed Martial Arts, by mixed it means you can use both striking and grappling right, and how to divide their usage fall to the fighter, if someone wants to do 10% striking and 90% grappling, or reverse, 90% striking and 10% grappling, it's their choice fully. We fans can shriek and scream but I dont think they will change the style they are comfortable with. But I see the problem, it's the Amerika, you see Islam MMA wrestle in The Emirates or Moskau, most of them love it, but Amerika? Nonono it's stand up or else it's boring.
