There are also Glowstone Illuminators which look like very similar by Thermal expansion itself.

for the lights you should try a solid black canvas black with a vibrant glass ontop of it. They emit the same amount of light as the liquid glowstone. Think that would go really good with your build.

iskall85 I have to say I agree with you, when I start a modded survival I tend to get right into the mods themselves and don't take the time to step back and make things look nice (doing it right now with my personal Survival Series world, which I plan on changing tonight after watching this video). There is definitely something to be said though for taking the time to keep a theme and build to that theme, it keeps the world more alive, rather than just jumping from one mod to another mod, because then it just becomes a "tutorial" world rather than a survival LP.

with carpenters wedges, shift+scroll wheel to select the block type you want so you don't have to use the hammer to cycle through them. That first dark grey/black futuristic block plus vibrant glass is a super clean and nice looking.

DizzyAaron I read this comment, loaded minecraft back up, and tried to combining them. I like them, but the first armor plating block is a bit too busy, so I have to be careful on where to use them.

Great video! Have you considered using glowstone illuminators from Thermal Expansion as lighting? They only cost 1 bucket of energized glowstone, so much cheaper than a tank full of it. You can make all the different colors, but I think the default yellow is about the same color, and texture, as raw energized glowstone. It has a little bit of extra "frame" texture on it, giving it slightly more "personality" than the tanks, I think. More like a lamp, I guess. Of course you may already know about them and just prefer the look of the tanks :) Either way, I like where you're going with the base. Hmm, just thought about it...of course the tanks needn't be full if they're in the ceiling, hehe...but I'm guessing price isn't your first concern anyway...

Daniel Stein Lol you are right, I do like these as well and after reading your comment I was excited about swapping out the few tanks I already made for these, cause as you say, soooo much cheaper and much quicker to make, however, there seems to be a bug with them at the moment, they look super weird, if I remember this tomorrow while recording I will show you.

iskall85 yeah I only started watching your videos around episode 70 or something like that so I thought I should check out what your older videos and see how you got to where you are now in your world :) thats fair enough about the dome, but the idea was awesome with the hologram and stuff maybe it'd be really cool to have that centre desk with a hologram in silicon valley somewhere :)

You could make a ring of the liquid exp, it could look really cool in the dome

Using the tanks on the floor, kind of like the lamps but with liquid XP and in a ring insured of a single block

Would you consider adding modular powersuits mod? It is very nice (one of my favorites) and i believe you would enjoy the customization. Sadly as of now its just beta for 1.7 so ot done but i would like to see it :D -Chris

Chris O I had Modular powersuits mod in my season 1, and I love that mod. I decided that since I have Ender IO; which basically gives you an armor that gives you buffs, I thought it wasnt needed. Like the idea though, and yes, it's an awesome mod, love the sound the legs/boots make when you jump/fly :)

iskall85 Yeah ender io is great i just dont like the lack of ability to fly. I don't know if you know this but extra utilities has theses angel rings that can be used to fly and give you cool wings you might want to look into those for occasional flight purposes

Who is this friend you keep talking to at the beginning? I thought we were all your friends. So thats what that upside down yellow bucket is from last episode. Wished all blocks connected like the chisel ones do when in wedges and such. I like the wedge dome. Hologram computer would be nice for the center. I like the lighting for the dome.

We as subscribers are a group even if were across the globe. lol Some times those unconnected textures or light bugs can be a good thing some times for builders.

I personally love Minecraft and will be turning 41 in June, so just wondering how old you are.
