"Naked" in ancient Israel didn't mean without clothes, it meant he was just wearing his undergarment.

That’s my understanding too as we would use the word naked if a woman or man today had no shoes on just a pants or nickers and bra. If we were to say starkers then that today would imply nothing at all or the words birthday suit so your right naked could mean no outer garment

Any chance you could make a video about King Ahaziah? Apparently he became king at 22 in one account and 42 in another account. Some Islamic dude is running around America with this supposed contradiction and is using it to undermine the Bible. What he fails to do is read the werds on the page, which would lead him to figure out that one Ahaziah was the son of Joram and the other the son of Ahab. He even goes so far as to say that they’re the same person because they have the same mom and grandma. Every half brother has the same parent (pick a gender) and set of grandparents as their half-sibling. It’s not rocket science.

@@big0514 they felt shame yeah....but that doesn't mean its shameful from god's perspective. it wouldn't have been an instant process either. it takes time for emotional injuries to occur. the whole point of walking away from god is we lose sight of his truth and viewpoint.

First God created Humans and we sinned against him and since God is right and just he can't let sin go unpunished and we deserve so he sent his son to die for all our sins and take our help punishment for us and if you trust that the only reason you go to heaven u will be saved. By faith u are saved not of works Ephesians 2:8-9 that being said tho that doesn't mean go sinning like crazy cuz u know ur going to heaven u should still try to live for the Lord. But let me be clear the only reason we are going to heaven is because of what Jesus did for us that alone saved us so trust in him

It couldn't have meant his junk was flapping in the breeze. They did have outer garments and undergarments. I've always assumed he was wearing underoos... like a small apron or, you know, an athletic supporter.

@@captaincook8283 The Bible means what it says, but the Bible was not written in English. So, what does it actually say in Hebrew? Also, we can't divorce the text from its cultural context. It can't mean now what it didn't mean then. I haven't done a Hebrew word study on this passage, but I do know nakedness is sinful. I find it hard to believe God commanded His prophet to commit sins. 🤷‍♀️

Jesus was stripped naked when he was on the cross but in most films and depiction art he is usually betrayed in a line cloth
