Great info brother. We moved from Atlanta, Georgia and shipped our American spec X5 here to England. We have a couple of recalls to get sorted at the British BMW dealer but we can't do it until we get the MOT completed and new UK plates. The biggest hassle so far was adding a Fog light to the rear and adding bright Amber LED bulbs in the rear to be in compliance with UK standards of having Amber indicators all around the car.

Just got the recall done like two weeks ago still you informed me on things i missed before like the lock keys for this generation of bmw's btw thx for that.

Yes, I had the blower motor done and the PCV. Some dealers send the tech to your residence for the blower motor wiring.

I also have a 3 series of the same age with the same recall notice. Im over in the UK and i have to say that i got the same level of service offered to me too. BMW really went out of their way to make this recall as smooth as it could be. And people getting upset about the new Supra is just weird. I mean Toyota have done this before with other manufacturers (BRZ etc.)

Did you hear about any recalls on the BMW reverse cameras. Mine gets stuck after driving forward and have researched but only for newer cars for the same darn thing. The emblem trunk release which is a poor design is causing problems. 2012 650I with only 25K miles. I will have to contact them Tuesday then.

I used to own a Mk4 supra and loved it, but now I'm a BMW guy. Honestly, Toyota waited too long and I'm not really interested in the new supra (or the Z4 for that matter). If Toyota would've just started recasting the 2JZ it'd be a different story.

Here in the US , thinking about getting an 328i 2012 with 100k miles on it... Should i?

I got an EGR cooler recall on my 2014 BMW 535d. Apparently it can cause coolant to mix with the spot coming through the EGR and leak in to the intake as a possible fire hazard. The recall letter says if you experience any of about three symptoms, to stop driving it and take it in immediately to your BMW dealer. The letter said there is no fix available, but they are working on it. I’ve been struggling trying to get my dealer to do anything. I’ve been using coolant and there’s a sweet, fruity smell coming from the exhaust, mostly at startup. Googling the smell tells me it’s burning coolant. Anyway, I took it in for the third time yesterday and BMW finally has parts and I’m scheduled for service on Monday. I will have to look into finding another dealer, but the next closest is 60 miles away. Very disappointed in the poor dealer experience I’ve had to date.

Im only using it for these sit down shots witth the camera on a tripod. It runs off of a big old school camcorder battery, so when you put the screen on, it doubles the size and weight of the rig. On the plus side, there’s an accessory cable that you can buy that will allow you to power the a6500 off that battery brick as well. I’ll do an updated gear video soon so you can see what the whole thing looks like. It’s extremely helpful for dialing in your framing and exposure, but you wouldnt want to carry it around

Thanks bro, I recently bought a used car... and I checked the site and I have 3 recalls Drivers front air bag, blower motor wiring, and Positive Crankcase Ventilation(PCV) Valve Heater. Will they replace all three for free or is it just the Blower motor wiring ?

I scheduled an appointment to take my 07 z4 to the my local bmw dealership after receiving the recall on the mail. Once I got the dealer they toll me I need to drop my car for 4 to 5 days. Question do they need to provide a rental or i just going to have to deal with uber charges for a week? I decided reschedule it for next week because I didn't plan on not having a car for this week.

The most frustrating thing about owning my BMW has been trying to get recall work done. I live 2 hours from the nearest BMW dealer, so trying to find a time when it works, that I'll be around, is a pain. I've been trying to get it done for over a year now. I just need to dedicate a weekend to it and get it done I guess.

My bmw dealer has ice cream sandwiches and all kinds of snacks lol. Got mine fixed last year

I got my airbag done like a year ago on my 335d. A couple months ago i got the blower motor and some kind of battery cable. RawHeights do you have a 335d. Rare Cars!

Just got it in the mail for my dad’s E90

Did 3 recalls on my 08 3-series they gave me a newer X1 and holy shit it was amazing lol back up camera, some type of sensor all around the car and so many little features my car didn’t have 😂 my recalls were all done within the day but I was at work but the time they told me the car was ready

I like it and once it hit the streets we're going to change it up anyway we're going to give her a nice facelift✌🏿

Hey so I took my e90 like 3 weeks ago for a recall service as soon as I drove off the lot, when they were done 2 warning lights popped on about the exterior lights. I didn’t give it much thought but I got home at night I realized some of my lights are out but they say it’s a coincidence and now want to charge me over 1500 any thoughts?

That doesnt sould like a coincidence and $1500 is insane for replacing a few lights. Did you take it to a BMW dealership? I might try a different dealership if there is another one in your area and get their opinion. Light bulbs for these cars aren’t very expensive

heard your going to wait years for it been waitign for them to fix the sensors in my seat for like 5 years

I really like the new supra. If they removed the "supra" name from it I'm sure it would get a lot better feedback. It just has so much to live up too. Most people say that since it's a BMW engine it's going to be bad but I've had great reliability with my N52 :)

Hi I’m in the uk and just brought a bmw 525 from a private seller ie some guy from another town , it had a year mot which is legal (I’ve checked ) i took it to my mechanic who gave it a full service because the digital engine management control unit was listing various problems , my mechanic couldn’t find any problems other than some black tape used to hide engine light and a seatbelt light that won’t go off ? I went online to check mot history and found it has a recall but not why or what the recall was about , I checked on Google and found that recalls in America were for this very reason but none for the uk I could find anyway now I’m unsure what to do as if it isn’t this I can’t afford bmw to change the whole computer system or someone else to check it over 😢any advise please 🙏

Does it matter if you’re not first or second owner right? And mileage? Btw I just got the recall while inspecting my car

BMW is required by law to do the recalls. It doesn’t matter who owns the car or how many miles 😎

There's apparently two different lengths of wire for this recall, depending on the exact model of the car, and according to my dealer, the shorter section of wire is approx 90 minutes to replace, if you have the longer wire it's 3 hours. I have an 08 335xi coupe, which had the longer section of wire and it took all of 3 hours to replace in my car today at the dealership.

I received a recall letter for the EGR of my X5 diesel ‘14. But the remedy is unavailable. Wondering if BMW is liable if car catches on fire. Called BMW and registered when part becomes available. Any experience on this ?

I got the same letter.. the EGR cooler is now available from October 2022 so they have sent me letter to pick a slot to get it replaced . I have 2016 x5 f15

I never got the recall on 2011 bmw 328i. And I checked it two days ago and it said no recalls for my vehicle.

What if mine E92 N54 is tuned, no cats and MHD stage 2 flashed? Is it safe to give it to official dealer? Won't they report that or do anything with my custom flash? Just logically I understand that they probably won't jack it and there is nothing to do with the ECU, but who knows. Does anyone have any experience?

Im not 100% sure on this, but I think they have to replace it because it is a safety concern. It shouldnt matter what you have done to the car.

BMW New Zealand has once again shown that it cares about its owners safety by issuing a recall notice for owners of BMW E90 cars, which includes my BMW 330i M-Sport, to check the blower controller plug connection.

The recall should apply everywhere. In the US, car companies are required by law to notify the customer of recalls.

2007 X3 i got recall letter

I just made my appointment with bmw for the blower motor and takata. They are going to give me a loaner car becuase they told me it might take 5 hours or so

Fredy Garcia it’s like 300 something for the complete kit on fcp euro and then like 200 tops for labor. I got it done at 100k and it definitely helped

Used to be a huge 2ZJ fan boy ten years ago. Swapped one into a 6gen celica and the whole nine. Much prefer BMW now. Toyota waited far too long and let the fan base fizzle out

Unfortunately all of the cars at the show are like that. Because the dust is so bad, they have people with big brushes and constantly sweep off the cars during the duration of the show.

I just got mine 4 months ago, I live in Finland, i doubt they do it 2019..

Toyota has so much money, it's a surprise that they decided not to do the development themselves. Especially for a car that was so iconic for their brand. But I guess if they had to partner with someone, BMW was a great choice!
