This show, as always, is the highlight of my work week. Please, please, PLEASE never stop releasing new episodes for your fellow theme park sickos.

Same, except I listen while doing chores on the weekend.
Love this ep because you can really see that Ryan and Byron are theme park sickos while Jake and Carter just seem normal about the rides, and it brings out a nice contrast. When Carter was like "He's got still more to talk about?" one hour in, that really made me realize that you have a lot to say about theme park rides. Great ep!

Always nice to see Carter
The FYA slapped over the pod watcher sign cracked me up. 😂 Also the video of Ryan absolutely loving world of color was just precious! The love you have is so wonderful, Ryan. ❤
I’ve been loving this podcast! I hope you guys continue it.
The carousel of CoLOoOrRrRr! 😂
Heyyy! IDEA! what if you guys did a patreon just for this podcast? You guys could make it just one level, pay what you can, and then that could be where you drop merch? I just know so many of us love this podcast, and i do worry that you guys will stop doing it. And I ALSO WANT MERCH. Anyway just an idea
This is my favorite podcast !! As a theme park nut that is currently with a feeding tube and am unable to go to theme parks anymore :( this show has been great for me to get my weekly theme park fix. I used to go so frequently to theme parks when I was healthier but haven’t been able to in the last two years because of my health issues.

3:30 don't worry Bryon I got the Lilo & Stitch reference! 🌺🎢
If we're counting nighttime spectaculars as attractions for the sake of this show (which is honestly fine by me), I really think they ought to have their own, modified rubric. The Smartphone Test really doesn't apply since there is no queue for these shows. The Lesley Stahl test also isn't really applicable (unless you're talking about saving your spot). The relevance of the Hollywood Test is also tenuous IMO. Maybe there could be a test about the show having a "wow factor," or something about the music. Just a suggestion! I think that if the test was more suited to this type of show rather than a ride or other attraction, World of Color would be an easy 10/10.
omg i can’t wait for this video BYRONS MOM NEXT PLS!!
Byron, tell your mom we all say hi!!😂
Ok new life goal is for my future grandchildren to call me “Grandma Disneyworld”
Jake telling Ryan "I've had enough of you" is such a "cousin you're close with" kind of admonition
My husband and I had a Disney wedding and at the end of the night we had our guests watch World of Color One with us in a reserved section (all in our wedding attire + got some great wedding pics with the fountains). It meant so much to me to be able to share such a great show with our favorite people at the same time!
now its time for the whole bachelor party crew to come on!! lol!!
So my favorite part of the original show is the exit song called “Disneyland”. The history behind the song is fascinating. It was not originally written for Disney! It was for a Broadway flop called Smile written and composed by none other than Howard Ashman and Alan Menken pre Disney! I was familiar with the song before WOC so when I heard that in the park, I couldn’t believe my ears and I burst into tears!! I miss it!!
8:00 If you really do a Manhattan Express coaster episode, it'll be the first 10% score.
I was so worried for a moment that the normal set was being phased out 😂 love the little tiki room
When I was in high school around 2011/2012 my family and I went to DCA and I was so excited to watch World of Color that night, we had our blue section passes but my brother aged 7 or 8 was falling asleep around 6pm so my parents called it a night and said it was time to go home. I held a grudge for so many years. It took years before I finally went back with some friends and watched the show and it was my absolute favorite show to watch . And now I'm a Cast Member and when I go in for fun I never stay late enough to watch any of the nighttime shows, but I regularly work Fantasmic viewing so the only show I truly miss out on is World of Color. This episode really reminded me of how much I loved world of color❤
Crying through this whole vid because this show is so special and every clip chokes me up 🥹😭
I love you covered this but I’m disappointed you didn’t say the true original version…. Without the pirates scene. They originally had Hellfire and it fit 10000000000% better including the dancing fire then transition into the stampede. When I saw it again with the new pirates portion I felt so sad to lose such an incredible portion. I saw the original show the day after the premiere. My family happened to be staying at paradise pier so we got to see it from up in our room one night then made sure to get our pass for the next night. It was incredible
I miss the original world of color. Also, I adore this podcast.
As a music teacher and movie soundtrack enthusiast, thank you for mentioning these amazing movie composers! I'm always impressed that Ryan is so knowledgeable in instrument indetification, composers etc. It makes me so happy!
GOATED guest lineup
so is byron's mom on the next episode......?

Not the boy band we all hoped for... Ryan, Jake, & Carter featuring Byron ❤❤❤❤
Hi Ryan and Byron! Long time listener, first time commenter. I am so excited you covered World of Color and I’m so glad you love it as much as I do! I grew up very close to the parks. I was a junior in high school when WOC premiered and I actually skipped school the day it opened to the public, showed up at the parks before the sun came up to get in line and get a wrist band for the very first show that night. I just knew it was going to be special. I was seated in the now defunct Orange section and still have my ticket! I went on to work at Disneyland in Paradise Pier attractions (and later many other roles) where my favorite shifts were either working guest control for the show itself or watching the show from the deck of my attraction, the Golden Zephyr. It’s such a cool view because you can look down into the water and see the fountains moving. I even was accepted into the composer Eric Whitacre’s World of Color Honor Choir, which was the virtual choir that they showed at the very beginning of the Winter Dreams (first year only I think). Fun fact about the OG WOC show, you could still seem remnants of Little Squirt throughout the show. The last balloon to rise in the Up sequence was an orange Micki Mouse balloon. And at the very end of the post show, there was one little orange fountain that would come up and bow. You definitely have to check out Disneyland Paris’ Electrical Sky Parade with the drones. It’s INCREDIBLE and definitely the future of nighttime spectaculars. Anywho, love the episode and love the show!
Colors of the wind makes me cry every time 😭😭
The studio takeover we’ve all been waiting for
I’m just like ryan for real when it comes to watching disney shows (for me it was the magic happens parade and world of color one) on repeat at home and having an emotional experience every single time
I just watched the first or one of the first shows and there was a Brave "Touch The Sky" sequence. I wondered what happened to that section. I love that song.
We need Bryon’s mom to come on the podcast
I rmb watching World Of Color in my first Disneyland visit and it was one of most spectacular shows I have ever seen. The second time i visited it was under construction. Sad to hear it's really hard for tourists to watch this show nowadays.
Alright now you have to do Epcot Symphony of Us. Best composition in an attraction, and though I haven’t seen One, I’d say similar in composition in that it isn’t just a cheap mashup, it’s a story and it’s fantastic. I cried…many times.
I’ve done incredicoaster during world of color 2 or 3 times but completely on accident and pure luck. It’s dope af but the coolest is to get a reservation at lamplight lounge at like 7:30 then hang out until world of color starts and watch it from the water level patio. It’s incredible. You’re right in the middle of it
I’m planing my trip to Disneyworld and (hopefully) Epic universe for next year and this podcast and its guests have been so helpful it’s insane, thanks for all the good info and introducing all these cool KZreadrs to me ! Love it ❤
i've never seen World of Color, and i'm not sure i'll ever get to. but just those few clips y'all showed had me CRYING SO HARD, DAMN!! 😭 might have to really work towards a Cali trip now...
I really like how they start the show, they find a child in the crowd and give them a magic paintbrush to get it going.
Just putting this out there if the opportunity ever came up I would love to be on an episode, this podcast has gotten me through a ton of graveyard shifts At six Flags and those long drives to Disney
I’ve been on the Incredicoaster during world of color one once and honestly it’s okay at best. The novelty of doing it if you’re local (I am) is worthwhile, but for the best experience join the virtual queue!

I've done incredicoaster during both woc and fireworks and I think fireworks was more fun to see! It would be cool if they'd turn off the soundtrack on incredicoaster so you could hear world of color better!
This has been such a fun and acute channel to find, love listening about amusement park rides and how they stack up!
Little squirt means so much. They should include it again🧡
Well, it’s nice to know that all of the men in Ryan’s family are incredibly handsome!
this episode was my favorite so far..... can relate to ryan watching world of color videos in college haha. we need more episodes on shows in general.... maybe like WD's Parade of Dreams?
Hurray for Tuesday!!!
Woo World of Color!
Always nice to see Carter.
I appreciated the Sinbad theme acknowledgement. The most underrated disney ride of all time. It's so good (and the score is amazing)
I’m so old that I remember when WoC came out and people on Miceage complained about the pacing and IP chosen in the show
AMAZING line up
I was able to time riding the incredicoaster during world of color one time! It was during the elemental preshow that was going at the time, and it worked out because the show started a few minutes early for it. the same thing happened for me as well where the line was going much faster than the listed time
For Byron, my first time to DCA last July I watched the first WOC show and after a bit went to get on Incredicoaster not even understanding there was a second WOC show. On the way out of the station all of the lights/effects on the coaster turned off and I got a ride completely in the dark. I was genuinely scared that there was some power outage or something until I realized what was happening and WOC started again as I was pulling into the brake run.
Loved this ep. Always good to see Carter.
You had me at Ryan’s family
Lion King was my favorite movie as a toddler but apparently my mom had to cut me off from rewinding the VHS constantly because I would cry so hard, I'd made myself sick. The beginning of the "watch or listen to something when I want to cry" habit
keep up the good work, boys!!!
Byron's mom needs to join the podcast
it's so funny how they were struggling through the lyrics at 36:04 This gave me more of an appreciation of the technical aspects of the shows. I loved the original World of Color and I agree with a lot of what was said. World of Color One has a more precise thesis, but the original World of Color has better transitions and I just connect with it better. I have a lot of nostalgia for the movies in the original and I'm just not as dialed in to Disney media in the current day. So since i haven't seen most MCU movies, the Marvel sequence sort of felt like an advanced Powerpoint presentation rather than an actual scene the way that Soul or Encanto were (2 movies i also haven't seen). I still think it's cool, but it just doesn't hit as hard. Maybe people felt similarly about the Pirates of the Caribbean sequence in the original, because I loved that, but there's also less going on technically. As a side note, i also think there's some sort of irony how a lot of the Star Wars sequence is about the original trilogy instead of the media Disney was actually responsible for. I do get it though. nothing is as iconic as Luke Skywalker's journey I hope this doesn't come off as me hating World of Color One. I still think it's really cool
the set had me thinking I was watching the wrong show
Yes!
I have never liked WOC but Ryan makes it sound so good. Maybe I’ll have to reconsider 🤔
Ryan is such a likable guy 😂 the mustache is beautiful
I think those of us who grew up with OG lion king will always be in its chokehold
This is s tier disney glazing. If this wasn't at disney you wouldn't care.
Hopefully they bring back the TRON segment for the 3rd movie
6:52 Damn, the Chow Yun-Fat erasure

Shout out to Ryan’s college roommate making a cameo in this ep as well as making top ramen in the microwave when he was trying to sleep. “F*ck you Roland!” -Ryan
What's wild to me is showing us mufasas death scene again, I'm fine 🙃
Happily Ever After next???
Nice I forgot it was Tuesday
For the record - Richard Sherman is a Super Bowl winning cornerback, not a defensive end. Long time listener, first time commenter 😂
byron.... "hawaiian roller coaster ride" is surfing
I’m the biggest Lion King fan and I’ve never seen World of Color, now I’m crying into my KFC Boneless Banquet.
Do Hagrids please! That would be a great episode
Jake looks like the coolest dentist ever.
SINDBAD MENTIONED!! It really does have one of Alan Menken's best songs though
for how much you guys talk basketball and theme parks, you gotta get Robin and Brook Lopez on the pod.
Do Golden Zephyr next.
second god i love disney
I want to see them bring on Peter from Theme Park Crazy Or cover Journey to Atlantis at Sea World Orlando.
Yall should change the rubric a bit for the shows.
Wrong Asian. Chow Yun fat said “welcome to Singapore”! Haha

They've covered shows before, Waterworld and Fantasmic
Honestly I’m surprised that they didn’t bring up the encanto segment. Such an amazing part of the show with the fireworks and all.
Ryan lacks this generation mind link with cody fry My younger sibling has all his songs and listens to them all the time Ive heard "start a wave" fifty eleven times and im only just now learning its from a disney show
Richard Sherman was a cornerback, not defensive end. Casuals.
Yeah ... I am sorry, but I can't get behind anyone thinking One is better than the original. Yes, it's newer and has better tech, but the stories do not resonate with everyone and the original music of the Sherman Bros, nostalgia, and seamlessness of the original are so much better.
i can promise you it’s NOT world class💀😭
Always nice to see Carter
