What an entertaining and practical conversation. I would say just one thing, not doing a job doesn't mean that we dont have an identity , dont have financial independence, yes. Saying this since i have seen women saying this to other women in gatherings. Turned out that the one who is not working is a certified pilot , a trained deep sea diver, and volunteers for girl scouts. You can be defined by so many other things beyond your job. I do work but admire people who explore their talents and work on their hobbies Well done for producing such great content.

You’re right - our job doesn’t and shouldn’t define us. But i feel it is important to do things that bring you joy - whether that’s your job or something else.

Thanks for the series of interesting conversations. These are of course the topics which should be talked more and more in order to create awareness in our society. I want to understand your stance on the monetary contributions of the working women towards the household. In Pakistani women, it is generally considered that only men are responsible for financing the household. Even if women are working, they (generally) are reluctant to commit to contribute in managing the household. Why it is the general notion in Pakistani women in contrary to women from other countries? On the other hand, they want men to help them in everyday's household chores if they are working. So if a man is working and managing the household and woman is also working but not contributing to the household, can this equation create a sense of equality (that we talk a lot about) and respect for each other? I want to understand the perspective of the women who work but are not willing to contribute to the household finances and want men to help them in household chores.

That’s such an interesting (and complicated) topic that we have spoken about briefly in some podcasts. But it requires in depth conversation definitely.

yes, 100% , and when they do provide monetary contributions, they resent it in the future about it. and then they make it sound like theyve done huge favors and that their kids owe them for all the money theyve spent on them. so unfortunate and sad

Can you please also in some next podcast or something talk about financial abuse and pre nups? So many people these days are after money and openly demand expensive gifts if they think the girl is financially of a higher standing .
